I am also on Team Eun Kang now after watching Episode 6 and have grown more suspicious of BD’s past especially…
I do not think they were even friends to begin with. EK is just BD's beck and call Like what you said how can BD call EK a Friend when she does not know anything about her. Whereas CW paid attention to EK that he knows personal details about her which is also very telling that he did liked/or still likes her Right now I am suspicious of BD. Her skeletons I need to know on the next episodes. I am partly sure she seduced CW from EK so she can get out of her family's bankruptcy situation. Question is why did EK allowed that to happen
Bravo to EK on Episode 6TG finally got his well deserved smack from you
I am also on Team Eun Kang now after watching Episode 6 and have grown more suspicious of BD’s past especially her friendship dynamics with EK. Did she really ever treat her as her friend or just her Beck and Call? And that theory about EK’s and CW’s possible budding romance prior to her marrying CW Maybe BD was the one who stole CW from EK If she did why did EK let that happen?
Episode 5 is also my favorite episode. NC and EK speaking. They won me over Lee Sung Jae and Seo Ji Hye are such Amazing Actors.
Also, I think it's ok to feel Pity, Be Annoyed or even Hate the characters. Just means the actors are doing such a great job in portraying their roles.
Red Balloon is now No. 3 among the Top 10 Shows on Netflix South Korea1. RR2. AOS23. Red Balloon“ In online…
Looks like a lot of South Koreans are watching Red Balloon and liking it so far based on the reviews shared below. Again if only this is on Netflix worldwide. No need to watch it on 3rd party streaming sites, Facepalm

Thank you for the clarification. I do not follow any writer. So I really appreciate the info on the writer. My criteria in picking up a show is the genre. This is the first time for me to watch this kind of genre. I must admit, Though I am frustrated on the flawed characters, my frustration is my reason to keep me from watching RB.
Why most of the time Lee Sung Jae play the cheating husband role
No I did not misunderstood What I meant was I am good with just watching “Red Balloon” and not “Show Window” since you mentioned “Show Window is more capturing” I never said you offered to drop RB 😩
Moon Young Nam loves to write toxic depraved relationship and (in)humanity stories with plenty of misandry, rape,…
Thanks for the heads up There must be a reason why the writer’s dramas are massive hits. She might have a niche audience who still like her type of storylines. I will continue to watch RB and be prepared for the unexpected Who knows maybe she will be better this time 😊
Why most of the time Lee Sung Jae play the cheating husband role
Lee Sung Jae also starred in the drama "Show Window: The Queen's House" with Song Yoon Ah which is also about infidelity and betrayal(between Soog Yoon Ah and Jeon So Min's characters). The drama also did fairly well ratings wise I think. But nothing still beats TWOTM in terms of ratings for infidelity plot dramas. Has anyone watched The Queen's House?
Goodness. Everyone's Life is messed up. Even Eun Kang's Uncle I still have High Hopes for the Pitiful EK Her story is part of her Character Realization. I just hope the writer will not disappoint.
can anyone tell me this drama like which drama style ??name me one so i can decided to watch or notis it like…
While I have not watched any of the writer's drama, someone did mentioned that most of her dramas is geared to have the potential "extra marital affair" elements. So far we have not seen that on the FL yet as her "hidden desire" is only manifested thru her dreams(not a full blown adultery/infidelity story yet) It does have dark comedy / family /melo drama elements
“The Crown” actress Claire Foy said that she does not like playing strong characters because weak characters can be strong too She said Female characters should be allowed to be weak, stupid, clingy because those can be empowering That said, while I don’t like where Eun Kang’s character direction is heading right now, I take it as part of her story in becoming a fully realized character I will continue to watch and wait
I'm finding it an intriguing drama. The characters I sympathize (and root for) the most by now are Bada and EunSan.
For me, I sympathize more for Nam Chul’s character. Bada seems to have her way with her in laws (even if her mother in law gives her a hard time), her hubby and with Eun Kang. I am sure she will not let Eun Kang steal Cha Won unless Cha Won will be the one to let go first Nam Chul on the other hand is only living his life the way his in laws want him to be like running the family business that he puts his own family last. Eun Kang, Love her or Hate Her? I will know in the next episodes how I will feel for her. For now, pity is what I have for her.
Thank you for the info on the writer’s previous dramas.I have not watched any of her dramas so I don’t know…
I see. I am ok with open ended ending Not all dramas need to have a happy ending As long as the FL straightens up her life I am good with that It remains to be seen
I think because of the heavier plot and not being a romcom, this drama has not got a lot of discussion on the…
I was checking Naver articles and I don’t see the drama getting a backlash yet because of the plot. Most of the articles I have read are how good the actors are portraying their roles so far ( SJH, LSJ, HSH, LSW) The drama not getting a lot of buzz is maybe because it is not on Netlix worldwide. It did got decent ratings in SK at 3.7 and 4.5 I would not expect people to like SJH’s Eun Kang’s character. Infidelity being a very sensitive theme. I was wondering why SJH took this role. She mentioned on the Press Con she took this role because the writer said the role can show different emotions and SJH said in an interview she wants to try different roles and evolve as an actress. I am sticking to the end since I love SJH. She is great and nailing the role so far as well as the other actors I just hope we get a character development on Eun Kang soon
I've watched like six of this scriptwriter's dramas, and the writer does sometimes put female characters back…
Thank you for the info on the writer’s previous dramas. I have not watched any of her dramas so I don’t know her style of writing You maybe right on her intention in sending the message "Do not cross the line" / Don't mess up other people's lives just because yours is" or some where along those lines. I will patiently wait for that character improvement on Eun Kang but I hope the writer will not give that to us until Episode 20 I am also with you on wishing for a happy ending Though I don’t know how we can get a happy ending especially with cheating undertones but I will wait and watch how the writer will present that Does the writer usually have happy ending dramas and addresses cheating stories?
To anyone contemplating if they should watch this drama, please be warned that it does have a heavy plot. If you like mostly romcom and comedy then this is not for you However, it is worth checking out since we have great actors like Lee Sung Jae and Seo Ji Hye who are both so great in their roles and whom I am both a fan of. If you are a fan of either LSJ, SJH, HSJ or LSW, I'd say you should give it a try and see it for yourself. Yes there are possible cheating elements starting but we are only on Episode 2 (I am not into revenge, dark themed, gory dramas but I ended up finishing “Vincenzo”.’ I have also watched the movie “April Snow” with BYJ and SYJ which story was about 2 married individuals attracted to each other). I have hopes that the writer will turn Eun Kang’s pathetic character (and everyone’s) around and will present life lessons So I will watch this till the end and give the drama story a chance.

Still, this will not discourage me from watching
I guess it’s up to the viewer's discretion to watch or not. 😉
