I loved it when it came out and am not ashamed to say that! I rewatched it last week becuz my mom just started Kdramas and I wanted to start her off light. In doing so, since I am much more seasoned now with Kdramas, I really thought the script for Song Joong Ki was excellent and delivered well. I got more out of it than the first time I watched. The banter btw him and his FL/ex-wife was really good. I had to park my thoughts about their divorce. Since I really dont care, that was easily done. Because I am an Innocent Man fan, and have rewatched numerous times, it was interesting to go back and watch DOTS and seeing some of his personality cross-characters. I'd watch it when u wanna chill out and meld into romance-land. And, the supporting staff are solid. And the loveline with the 2nd ML/FL is just as good as with the main leads. So that's my review just for you. <3 Knowing your tastes a bit, I think you may give it somewhere btw a 7-8. ME: becuz it makes me happy everytime I watch - 9/10
You "worked hard"! Very encompassing article. i will note for whoever hasn't watched, this show is like it has 3 main character FL's. On the other hand, they focus mostly on the one ML played by Jang Ki Yong (which i didn't. mind. at.all) Midway thru the show the other 2 2nd MLs get more airtime/facetime and i think it rounds out the show a bit better for those of us who additionally like a good boost of romance in everything.
Factioid: the love interest Oh Jin Woo (Ji Seung Hyun) was also in Descendents of the Sun - although one might not remember - he was the North Korean soldier that has a bond with Song Joong Ki's character. You might not notice since he was always covered in green cammo facepaint.
Now that its over, my most pressing concern is when is Jang Ki Yong's next drama??
I didn't like Fated To Love You, but to be honest, it was an early show in my beginning of Asian drama watching.…
i hear ya on the baby name -- it was super weird. But, i really love the drama and have rewatched a handful of times. Its definitely one of those dramas that one could not like a number of elements of that could spoil the whole drama for them. I am a big jang hyuk fan so i am biased. ;P
just bumped into this list. luv the title. one that i dont see on here that i guess didnt make the cut for you...but causes me to have a mental breakdown crying every time i rewatch: fated to love you (Kdrama version)
This would be awesome. Or a way for users to subscribe to a movie or drama and be notified when and where subtitles…
i think i saw a version of something to this effect recently submitted as a new feature request. some just wanna subscribe so they get notified when a show has airing dates assigned, is currently airing, and so on. I, like you, would also like notice of subs.
seems like it counts both (according to the stats pie chart) - people who have it in their plan to watch list…
I also think its looking like ptw and cw combined but with 300 more over there in the statistics.... i'm now curious what the number difference is stemming from.
Feels very Goblin-ish to me, which is why i am continuing to watch. I wasn't all that excited about the premise for the hotel and where the storyline will take us and admit I did no research on this b4 I watched so I would be surprised. But, am interested in the 2 ML's relationship, and more so Jin Goo. His acting has become more intriguing to me lately.
Regarding IU's character, I am not sure where its coming from....its like she's a sensual/campy/flirty character that's similar in nature to one of her characters in Persona basically. Not sure why her character has that personality in the first place given her beginning in the hotel. Is this supposed to be a jaded semi-reckless version of her now that she's been around forever?
Anyway, while wondering that, I also started wondering from the 2nd ep if these were zombie ghosts and supernatural beings with blue robot-like eyes? I thought this was supposed to be the hotel of the dead.... So I am confused about this tale. I will watch a couple more eps though.
