Are you considering watching Money Flower? What makes it so good that everyone is raving about it? Spoiler-free comments below...
The story grabs you right away. The music and the cinematography are amazing, especially in the beginning eps. The directing is really cool. So much of the show is close-ups of the key character's faces...Given that they are seasoned amazing actors, it's like their emotions jump right off the screen at you. Jang Hyuk, who I already love, blew me away in this. But the other 2 female leads and male lead are so perfectly cast... The story has a bit of a birth secret mystery/suspense factor in it. Plus some hidden murder(s). Its a dark, very calculated revenge drama that has you on the edge of your seat every single week. It's over now, so binge the heck out of it!!! He was 100% alive for me thanks to the words of that pervert. Also Nam Soon was holding the present in her hand…
I'm definitely gonna do so and will circle back. I really liked him in this. I need to find a drama or movie of his that is really good to watch next. I have some on my PTW list....was hoping for something with a romance line in it but i don't think he likes that genre.
I'd sure like to read up on who the voting committee was....Given this is pulling from all 3 networks, there was such a window of opportunity here....Seem like opportunities missed left and right.
Apparently they have very different tastes from mine.
I was just catching up on this article an my reaction exactly. I'm startled by most of the selections. [shaking my head in disappointment while typing]
Thanks for putting this together. just saw this. I only recently became intrigued by him after watching Final Life, actually. I'm keeping my eye on him...he's quite multi-faceted and gonna go far. Hope for the best this year for he and the rest of his Shinee mates.
Really wished Queen for Seven Days won SOMETHING it was soooo good!
IKR?! I like both the male leads in that frankly, but Lee Dong Gun stole the show. Thankfully he got recognition and had a nice speech at the KBS drama awards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQ4BpPnVE3Y
This is a long drama that does take some commitment @56 eps. I enjoyed the drama. The acting was great by all and Song Seung Heon was a pleasure to watch - both in his appearance and his acting. Overall, though, there could have been less eps, the ending could have been better, and there were some things in the storyline that unnerved my brain. Would I recommend it? Sure because the acting was really good and so was the story. But this isn't a happy-go-lucky drama.....its full of strife and conflict, so you need to be prepared for that and possibly having to FFW here and there if you're the type that does that. I don't like to FFW so I watched through and through but surely could see where it would easily be FFWable.
I loved these two in their roles. But i definitely preferred him with the white hair versus when he did his trial on earth. He looked like to much of an older man.
I loved both Tunnel and Defendant but Defendant was way more amazingly acted and suspenseful as an action/suspense/thriller. Ji Sung is one of the best actors on the planet.
I am sure it is just personal taste regarding the sageuk/historical drama chosen overall, but the acting by Lee Dong Gun in The Queen for Seven days set that drama apart for me as a historical/sageuk drama. It was phenomenal. If you haven't seen it, definitely check it out.
For the webseries, I really liked Queen of the Ring, but if you haven't watched the Boy Next Door, you should. It was so well done and so damned funny, you'll want to watch each ep twice.
