anyone else feel like that hip hop/rap ramen chef offers nothing to the show, lol. I feel like he's only around…
IMO, he does have role though it's limited. He is carefree, somewhat distant but always tries to get along with everyone whenever he hangs out. At times, he is a breath of fresh air and inspirational spark to the Miyama siblings. O.S.D and Mai are exact opposite personalities and it would be interesting to see dorama about their lives. Daisu's personality really is a mixture of his parents.
However, as it turns out, Juju seems to be more carefree than O.S.D. A real wrecking ball. XD
I just knew this article was by Ebisuno! Thanks for another insightful article into Japanese cinema. I love Waterboys…
Thanks for reading @kitty10. I suggested Ebisuno if he's interested to co-write about Yaguchi Shinobu and it ended up him writing a lot more than me :D
It's filled with absurd, laugh-out-loud funny, thoughtful, meaningful moments. And basically, only doramas can…
The whole series is absurd and hilarious as hell. The most iconic scenes for me are Besshi's dance under the bridge (Ep. 1) and Doigaki's confession (Ep. 4 I guess) XD
Aside from Kenshin, she keeps getting average roles and projects :(
That's because of her shotgun marriage and child birth. IMO, her role in Kenshin is just a plain damsel-in-distress for all three released movies. Don't get me wrong, it's a great movie series with top notch production, Emi played well, but the stories are not that spectacular.
I think her roles in Gold, Taira no Kiyomori and W no Higeki are far more interesting than Kenshin.
is she not good enough for a main role? or does her schedule prevent her from getting main roles?
I don't think her acting skill is a problem, it's just some practices and norms of Japan's showbiz are just difficult for late comers like Anne to land the main roles in a short amount of time.
However, as it turns out, Juju seems to be more carefree than O.S.D. A real wrecking ball. XD
Hope you're safe and doing well throughout the period you've been missing from MDL.

I only watch J dorama and Fukanyon is my instinct vote.
Takahata Atsuko for The Great White Tower (that's more of a wife, she did impose a lot on daughter too).
Incidently, Nishida Naomi and Kuroki Hitomi are also in Shiroi Kyoto too.
