First of all, I was wrong to say that this book wouldn't make a good movie because it is mostly dialogue/inner…
Indeed it is. The scenes couldn't be better but that's the only positive. What hooked me right away while reading the book is the way Murakami expressed how Watanabe reminisced Naoko on the flight just before landing. I wish that part was included in the movie. IMO, I kind of feel that Midori from the movie is not very likable (probably I just don't fancy Kiko).
I found Shinzanmono to be too sexist for my liking. For the same reason there are no other Higashino Keigo adaptations…
For me, I prefer Shinzanmono series (both drama, SPs and movies) over other works of Higashino Keigo because of it's uniqueness that (MC observes and involves in the personal lives of suspect to comprehend and search the truth) I haven't seen in other detective stories. MC's habit sounds a bit creepy, but after watching the whole series (esp, the final movie) I get to understand his personality.
Ice World is yeah, heavy romance (making too dramatic), slow paced at the beginning so I don't really enjoy quite a lot. Nonetheless, the story is good, twists and turns kept us guessing who is the real culprit till the last episodes and female lead's acting is superb.
(P.S. The video quality there is not quite good.)
Subs for remaining episodes will follow soon, separate sub files are available d-addicts.com. Raw (in full HD if I remember correctly) is available on Bagikuy.
