The ratings for this drama, Revenant and Mr Sunshine used to be higher, but they suddenly and suspiciously dropped at the same time earlier this year.

I think that Taeri's awards success has created jealousy in fans of other actresses, and this could be a reason for the review bombings. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The judges at the Apan Star Awards and Baeksang Arts Awards obviously didn't share your opinion. 🏆🏆

Taeri nailed the voice acting and singing on Lost In Starlight - is there anything she can't do?

Kim Taeri studied Communications and Journalism at university with the aim of being a broadcaster. In her 2nd year, she joined the theatre club for fun and caught the acting bug. After graduation, she worked backstage at a theatre company for a year, then moved to the front of the stage. She did a few student and short films, and supported herself by modelling and doing ads.

Although KTR looks young for her age, she ironically "failed" many auditions because she was judged "too old" to be a rookie. She wasn't going to audition for The Handmaiden because it was an intimidating major film with a big-name director, but one of the producers saw her talent agency profile and persuaded her to try out. KTR was a "late bloomer" but she's quickly become one of the best actresses of her generation.

Six out of seven Baeksang judges voted for Kim Taeri to win the Best Actress award. She was considered for the Daesang, but was cut after the first round of voting.

This drama previously had a rating of 8.7, but recent review bombing for unknown reasons has dropped it down. This 8.5 rating isn't an accurate reflection of this drama's quality.

Everyone has different tastes, so you should try a drama instead of relying solely on ratings and reviews. I highly recommend Jeongnyeon.

Mr Sunshine's rating always used to be 8.9 (and Revenant & Jeongnyeon were 8.7), but they have all recently dropped at the same time. It appears there's been a concerted campaign to give low scores and drop the ratings. Don't know why! 😬

I disagree that the film is hard to see. I've got a DVD set and the visuals are fine. Maybe it was the site you were watching it on?

Kim Taeri started off as a stage actress. The drama wouldn't have been made if she wasn't signed on.

There are brief rehearsal scenes later in the drama. The writer had to condense a 100-chapter webtoon into 12 episodes, so she had to cut out a lot of things.

In the webtoon, the FL is 16 (not 19), so that's why she's quite reckless. Later episodes show the FL's struggles and growing maturity.

PS - it's surprising and disappointing that Jeongnyeon didn't get nominated for Best Drama, given that it's a quality production with cultural significance.

This drama is much, much more than its infamous ending, and is definitely worth watching.

The ending is indicated right from the beginning, so nothing has been spoiled for you. If you pay attention to what the leads say throughout the show and don't try to twist the narrative, then you'll be fine.

I have rewatched 25 21 countless times and have never been bored.
