I think that Kim Taeri is a world-class actress and her eye acting is stellar, but I'm still blown away by her talent. There are 2 scenes when she's still and silent, but projects so much emotion: when she's in the shed in episode 1 and you can only see part of her eye through the slats, and when she's with her father in episode 2. ππ₯Ή
it is a real pity that the show is so slow. Characters, visuals and plot seems really good, but I really canβt…
Everyone has different tastes, so Mr Sunshine won't suit those who like fast-paced dramas. If you can stick it out, the story really picks up around episode 16.
The costume designer is the legendary Cho Sang Kyung, whose works include The Handmaiden, Mr Sunshine, IOTNBO, Squid Game etc. No wonder the costumes look so sumptuous!
Is it very scary? I want to watch it but I'm weak to horror
It's more of a suspense mystery thriller than a traditional Hollywood horror, and has only a couple of jumpscares. I'm not into horrors and didn't find it scary. Fighting!
I am mostly enjoying this, except the fl drives me absolutely bananas. Basically, she just runs around like a…
I've got a different view of the FL and see her as intelligent and strong. She's not a kick-ass warrior, but is brave in her own way (eg chases after the peeping toms in the middle of the night). There are two pivotal scenes where she's "screeching and crying" (the pivotal rain scene and when she finds out about the insurance policy on her mother, but can't go to her because she has temporarily lost her sight), but she's crying out in anger/frustration and not because of weakness. I think it's a big exaggeration to state that she runs around like a moron when she does use her intelligence to work things out (eg moon phases) and research things (eg folklore and school badges etc).
Congratulations to Kim Taeri for winning the Best Actor award at the 2024 Korean Broadcasting Association awards. It was for Revenant and only one acting award was given.
As said by some reviews, this is one of the BEST drama. So, should I give this a try?
Definitely! Episode 1 might be a little confusing with lots of characters introduced and the timelines aren't clear, so you can Google a character relationship chart to help. Please watch at least 3 episodes to see whether you like it.
From a glimpse of your favorites so far, youβd inevitably love this if you stop worrying about the main plot…
It's signalled right from the start that the leads don't end up together, so knowing this shouldn't stop you from watching 25 21. Otherwise you're missing out on a truly great drama!
