Kim Taeri not being nominated for a Baeksang Arts Award for a career-best performance (so far) in Revenant is a travesty! Just because she won in 2022 shouldn't be a factor. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
i have not watched this yet but i heard that it has a bad ending... can anyone tell me if the second couple ends…
The ending is quite subjective and I was happy with it. You should watch and make up your own mind, otherwise you're missing out on one of the best shows around!
Part 3 is very much needed. This korean Avengers needs to continue and become a big franchise.
I'd like that too, but it sadly won't happen due to disappointing box office results. It didn't help that the films weren't released in all countries, including mine. ☹️
I have one question-Why does Ko Yu Rim hate Na Hee Do so much. Like isn't she her online friend
KYR is an insecure type of person and worries that fencing is an expensive sport for her parents to support. She remembers that NHD beat her 0-8 in a junior tournament and fears that she might never win again. She is probably envious of NHD's middle class background, so the way she acts is a defence mechanism. When the two started chatting online, they didn't disclose any personal details and that they fence, so they're unaware of each other's true identity until later.
Happy 2nd Anniversary to this glorious drama! If you want to watch it for the first time, please keep these tips in mind for a better ending experience:
1. Think of 25 21 as a drama about youth, achieving your dreams, friendship and first loves. 2. Don't think of it as a standard rom-com, even though there is romance and a lot of comedy. 3. Listen carefully to what the characters say during the show to understand their motivations at the end. 4. Pay attention to the FL's relationship with her mother. 5. Don't start theorising about the daughter's name. 6. One identity is never revealed and just accept that it's not relevant. 7. The drama is centred on the FL during a certain period, so what some characters are doing in the future isn't addressed. Just assume they're doing well. Enjoy!
I just watched the final episode of 2521 last night and honestly, this drama hit me differently. Although I am…
A bit late, but here are my thoughts. 1) My theory is that Moon Ji Woong gave the photo to NHD because he didn't want it and didn't want Ko Yu Rim to be concerned about him having it. 2) The mother admits that she left NHD alone too much while she was growing up, so this is why the scene is necessary. It also shows that no matter how old you are, you still need/want your mum. 3) NHD's lonely childhood, BYJ turning into her mother, his lack of communication and the unlikelihood of him ever changing are reasons why NHD initiated the break up. Another reason was support for his career. NHD knew that being the NY correspondent was a huge opportunity for BYJ, so she would never have asked him to move back to Korea and resume being a local news reporter. Likewise BYJ would never have asked her to quit fencing and move to NY to be with him. They were well on the way to achieving their dreams and didn't need each other's support so much, so it was time to let each other go. 😢
Two years late, but congratulations to KDE for writing 25 21, one of the best dramas ever imo, and creating one of the best characters in Kdramaland, Na Hee Do. NHD is so real & three-dimensional and the stroppy fencer with a heart of gold made me laugh, cry and be inspired. I loved the other members of the Tae Yang High School squad as well. I can't wait to see what KDE does next.
Upon rewatch i just realised how horrible her mother really was. Taking your job seriously is one thing but constantly…
Yes, I agree. It bugs me that people who hate the ending don't take NHD's upbringing into consideration. She says "I grew up alone and I was lonely" and reiterates this when removing the tunnel graffiti, but many ignored this and claimed she acted out of character by not fighting to keep the relationship alive. But why would she fight when BYJ was turning into her mother and not communicating? People pointed out that Ko Yu Rim and Moon Ji Woong were able to have a long-distance relationship, but they had open communication with each other, plus loving & supportive parents, so the cases are different. Of course there were other factors to the break up, but NHD's mother is a huge one.
It was criminal how Disney+ did barely anything to promote Revenant and they're going with them again!
