I recently saw a documentary from China, in some areas men behave this way towards their wife, it’s part of how they show a wife respect and love. I think she’s a competent and fearsome woman, opinionated and as capable as any man, so her husband goes the extra mile, because he probably loves it when she calls him a ‘good boy’.
