It's poetic prose. Everything about Chinese language is poetic interpretation. Everything has double meaning, or 5 for that matter.
This is touched upon in the intro song; Direction of light; I want to rely on the Light, in this dark night And it looks like a long ballad, The river of life, flows beneath my feet
Long Ballad Long Slow Song
Dancing slowly.
Life is a song, it's all about how you dance.
Her life story is a sad ballad, her name is a little morose. It's a good name. It's a little Prophetic, as such it's also a warning of the storm.
Their meeting - the progression, is like one long, slow dance.
It's enhanced by eye-pulling, skinship, love through action and inaction. What doesn't happen, are actions in themselves. Reading between the lines.
A kiss is an ending of sorts, and this story is about building upwards, tensions rising higher, and no release for anyone. They're tortured. We're tortured.
As Chang Ge and A'sun aren't really historically based, but invented and put into historical context, and historical…
Li Shimin owes her a debt. The country owes her.
In the context of ending this drama. It's possible that these two were present at these events in history, but were erased and forgotten by history, to always be remembered and revered by their loved ones.
So many great lovers have been forgotten throughout history. People are usually made legend by death, and history recording the outcome of their ending.
At the end of the day, These two characters who couldn't even fathom the concept of romantic love, chose to forgo COUNTRY and DUTY in the end, and chose each other.
Li Jing is a great romantic, also a terrible enabler. With a twinkle in eye, and tongue in cheek, he'd report to Shimin, that they are dead. The Emperor will of course be; 'Naturally, they are dead.'
And he would think of his 'daughter', from time to time, but she'd be put to rest in his mind, along with everyone else he's loved and lost.
Same with me.. But i have a lot scene in this drama. Especially its come form episod 23,24 n 25..Leo Wu crazily…
To not implicate Eagle's Tegin, she had to make it look like she wasn't with the Eagles. That he disgusts her, and she's with She'er.
If she'd gone with A'sun, the Eagles would be in trouble, when she rescued her father's General.
He's a strategist, and he already knows what she's doing, but he's already in love, and probably thought he had rescued her out of harms way - only to realise she's about to jump into the fire, and he has to let her do it, because that's the kind of people they are.
As Chang Ge and A'sun aren't really historically based, but invented and put into historical context, and historical plots. I do think they will be 'vanished', or 'deaded' by Li Jing and become Martyr figures, or even FORGOTTEN by history altogether. That kind of deal. Thoughts?
Princess Chengyang (城陽公主; 630–671) Married Du He of Jingzhao, Duke Xiangyang (京兆 杜荷; 616–643), a son of Du Ruhui Married Xue Guan of Hedong (河東 薛瓘) in 643, and had issue (two sons)
Leyan is supposedly a mix of two different Princesses. This is just one of them.

They needed Chang Ge completely alone.

Little is known about his daughters.
You can have a look and see just how many kids Li Shimin executed, to get power.
