Just finished ep 4. is it just me or is anyone else finding this boring? I had high expectations because of Hidden Love but I find myself forcing to finish each episode. I like the leads, the acting, the actors, I get that there is a serious and traumatic side to the story, but I'm just finding it boring. Already thinking about dropping. Does it get better? should I insist?
Before the male lead found out about her past, he did bring up his feelings, but after learning what she had gone…
I didn't turn on the spoiler butto in my last comment because there was no plot spoiler there. It was my general opinion of the show. I turned it on in my first comment, when I relayed some parts of the drama.

Hi Xander, totally understand your point of view. Perhaps I'm speaking from a different perspective. I'm 48 and married in a happy relationship. I do look at some of my relationships in the past and they had these kinds of dynamics, but more in my teens than in my 30's. From my perspective, their relationship looks very immature. and yes, I do feel that he pressures her a lot. And I feel she is not self-confident enough. Just comparing her to her female friend you can see the difference. But I think the fault is with the writers, not the actors, who do the best they can with the script. The dialogues are quite poor. There is a cdrama of a similar storyline "You are my lover friend". It's very slow, but I found the story and the characters much more mature and believable, and they were in their late 20's.
Currently in episode 11 and have been rolling my eyes for what feels like most of the show. I am only watching it because I love the actors and the story of the second couple. the FL and ML characters couldn't be more annoying and immature. i honestly find the characters unbearable... Which 34-year old woman gets all freaked out after the man she wants to date points out that they just kissed? The ML constantly pressuring her to give him an answer and then after finding out everything she's gone through and finally accepting the relationship with him, pressuring her to announce their relationship publicly. Very unnapealing and immature. It doesn't help that she's childsh, doesn't know how to put boundaries and express what she wants and is constantly apologetic or unecessarily aggressive. Again, childish and immature.
The storyline is full of flaws but if you can ignore that, the show is enjoyable. Great chemistry between the leads. Annoying SML. Last 5 eps were completely unnacessary.
I totally shipped her with Yuan Shen. Somehow the main leads just didn't seem to fit. Yuan Shen seemed like a much better choice, more loving and more loyal. Actually, so did A'yoa... both better than Buyi...
