I've watched 3 eps and I find it quite boring and a bit childish. The "deeper meaning" is portrayed in such a superficial way, that ends up underming it. I'm thinking of dropping it. I scroll way too much on my phone during the eps... never a good sign. Is it worth insisting? Does it get better?

First ep feels like a worst version of Dynamite Kiss (which was great at the start and then went downhill, unfortunately). could this be the reverse? I will watch a couple more to decide.

hahaha Chinese Empress, I think you've got it wrong ;). It's precisely because I have a 10-year loving and successful marriage that I know what a real loving relationship is like. But I think I might be a little older than you. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with finding pleasure in these sweet love dramas.

Thst's true. I totally agree. But some dramas really go overboard on the unrealistic love relationships/behaviours, while others feel a bit more real and relatable. But I get that this is a really popular show. I just thought it helpful to express what my thoughts. Not everyone is going to have the same opinions...

I didn't mean it's not relatable for the Chinese style. I even mentioned 2 other Chinese dramas! I meant about the love story and the relationships, behaviours... Human relationships, the love relationship are not like that in real life, but hey, each to their own... I was just expressing my opinion. It's so funny how many comments here took it personally hahahah (I don't mean yours!)

Lizzy, I fully agree. The FL is for me the most interesting character. I love her confident, bad ass lawyer side, mixed with her fragile, vulnerable hidden side as a fan. She probably had a lot of insecurity in relationships, given her past. I think her crying over the rumours was her vulnerable traumatic side, she even recognosed that it wasn't rational and she should be happy for him. I didn't feel like she was a crazy, obssessive fan. It was just her own internal turmoil, she never harmed him or anyone. I cN understand why she hid all that from him, and tried to deal with her own emotions to see him objectively. It is absolutely what she should do as a lawyer and to be able to do her job well and protect him, which by the way she has done superbly and has been the highlight of the drama. I also get why he got emotional and irrational. He is also a traumatised person in a very fragile emotional state. His reaction is understandable, and I will accept if he messes up and tries to fire her and distance from her as the teaser suggests. What is going to kill the show for me is if they change HER, from the strong, confident lawyer, to some love sick, passive character. I could already see the writers weakening her in the last 2 eps. Less confidence in front of the prosecutor, more time spent comforting the ML. Fine, but if it goes down the road of her going after him, being miserable, asking for forgiveness, trying to save him from himself, in sacrifice of herself, that is really going to turn me off of this show. I really jist hope they don't change her strong, confident and bad ass lawyer side, and just make her grow emotionally. She is the most interesting character for me.

I've finished the drama. Cute and sugary, but so unrealistic. The Best Thing and Snipe Butterfly are so much better and relatable. ML acting does not convince. The FL is so cool and I really like the actress. I'd say it's a 7 for the sweetness and keeping me tuned till the end, but easily forgettable.

I don't know why this drama isn't talked about more. It is the best of its genre by far. It's touching, relatable, well written. All characters have depth and are interesting. The acting is superb. In my opinion, it has surpassed When I Fly Towards You, Reply 1988, Northward and even Hidden Love. It's a 10 for me.

I agree with you there. There could have been a few more episodes of them together and having children. I think there is an extra special mini episode showing their daughter. I haven't been able to find it yet though.

I actually really liked the ending. I thought it was genuine and realistic amd relatable. I found it much more romantic than the friend's ending.

I really enjoyed this. It's a great thriller. Unlike most, I wasn't disappointed by the ending.

I found this drama by accident and started without expectatuons, without reading any reviews. I binge warched it and finished in two days. Very cute and sweet. All the scenes with the two leads are sweet with a great chemistry. Surprising really good acting and dramatic effects for a rom com. I recomme d it. especially if you're looking for something sweet .

Thank you for encouraging me. I watched till the end and ended up really enjoying it. It does improve a lot and turns out to be one of the best dramas this year.
