No, in episode 1 that's the time line it showed 4 min in the episode it says 10 years on after... I'm assuming her/his birth. Because she then goes on to explain how possibly he is the son of a schooler who died on his way to do an exam and his mother died during birth. Or did I read incorrectly?!

But it says 10 years later after the concubine was pregnant and fell on the floor I presume is her mum because looks/played by her. And when she's telling the story of the schooler that died and the wife later died during laver it also says 10 years ago. Or am missing something

Finished watching the final episode and although I disliked WY after he left QH in the end they all three maintained their friendship, which is not the norm in c-dramas that I've watched. So in a way this drama kind of broke the norm. Happy ending which I liked, can't complain. Just like the previous comment I felt sad for the Princess, I wasn't expecting to feel sad for her.

Same here. I was wishing a bad ending for her but then I felt really sad.

I found it a bit funny, a reference to Han Yun Xi in ep 11. Well, I suppose that stops me guessing if he was dreaming or if she was really alive on the final episode. I'm happy now!

True! I also laugh a lot but what I wasn't expecting to shed a tear in this drama because all the way through till now its quite light and sweet. So for me to share the FL emotions it surprised me.

Wow, I'm loving this drama. I though it would be happy/comedy all the way as it started that way, but boy, was I wrong! I've cried so many times now, and feeling the FL pain all the way. At first I wanted FL and SML to be together but now I'm totally Lin Fang team!

Not known to me but I watched all of his works listed in this site(I don't know if he has other productions) and I liked all of them before I knew it was produced by him. I can see his style and I'll definitely keep following his works it can only get better.

Wow, this drama took me by surprise. I lived it. It just shows that you can watch a historical drama without the need for emperors and princes and high profile people. An average couple went through ups and downs with family and friends as their support. It was refreshing for me. The drama had a nice flow and I wouldn't mind a few more episodes ; )

Not gonna lie, I've watched this show to episode 7 and till now I was loving it. But FL is getting a bit on my nerves. She messed up big time after an enjoyable afternoon and then she pulls THAT! And gets annoyed because the general is upset?! . I love the story till now but if she's going to keep messing up and not owing to it then its gonna spoil this show for me and I was enjoying it so much.

I feeling the same. I like the romance between FL and 2ML. It would be a different take if actually the FL ended up with 2ML, it would make a totally different ending from what's the norm. So far I like the fact their they are straight forward with their fellings, but mind you, I only watched to ep 8 so don't know how it will develop.

I know the ending was not that great but come on! The FL was meant to be clever and the last 2 episodes she just turned dumb, believing everyone else but your real love!? And that character guy Wang er I t hi ought he got off lightly. Yes he was not like his father but he let a lot happen and did not intervene and made FL believe that ML lead was at fault, for that I think he deserved to die. Rise of the phoenix all over again. I agree with boggsprop that I now think Nini character survived as well falling off that cliff
