My beautiful man the story was ok and there was intimacy too
I adore their storytelling as a whole. Japanese writers always think outside the box when it comes to delivering a quirky storyline. It’s like it’s in their DNA. No other country could do this.
what is Cherry Blossom? Also Old Fashion Cupcake had a kissZettai BL having no kiss makes senseI think it's too…
Oops! Good spot. I've edited Cherry Blossom to Cherry Magic. Fleeting kiss in my mind on Cupcake -would have been nice if they kissed in the alleyway.
Agree too early for Akira and Shin. My point is I just hope we don't get to the end and there no kiss or any kind of intimacy, but I am enjoying the story up to this point.
I hope you don't mind me repeating a comment I made earlier about this, cause it's actually a Japanese drama "problem".…
Thanks for your response. Yes, I would agree with you, its also prevalent in the heterosexual dramas I've watched and I have to give it to them, they always deliver a quirky narrative in terms of storytelling, which I believe only the Japanese can do - it seems to be part of their 'special' DNA. However, I do believe audiences are growing frustrated with the childishness and lack of intimacy, because it simply doesn't represent reality in any way.
My beautiful man the story was ok and there was intimacy too
Good spot! I missed that one, probably because it's the only one I really enjoyed recently and yes, it was beautifully intimate. However, I think you understand where i'm coming from.
As cute as I find this drama. I have to admit I'm growing evermore frustrated with Japanese BLs. On completing a drama I'm always left totally disappointed and somewhat cheated. Its as if the Japanese want to capitalise on the huge revenue to be had from BL dramas. However, don't actually believe or indeed understand gay culture, so believe it is fine to show absolutely no intimacy between couples - to the point where they feel their viewing audience, us, will be satisfied to watch a drama that shows no kissing. Additionally, what is with all the pathetic childishness amongst grown adult men when it comes to any kind of intimacy? It's just not believable. What reality do they live in?
Look at all the recent dramas:
1. Cherry Magic - not one kiss 2. My Love Mix-up! Childish lead, no kissing 3. Mr. Unlucky has no choice but to kiss - childish lead, no kiss when relationship formed 4. Senpai, this can't be love - childish lead appears terrified of any kind of intimacy 5. A man who defies the world of BL - no kissing 6. Old Fashioned Cupcake - lovely story, no intimacy, no kiss 7. Life-Love on the line - wonderful story, yet minimal intimacy
The only dramas that have defied the above and gone completely the opposite way with full on intimacy is the brilliant - The Novelist and Mood Indigo. Both of which are old classics for a reason.
So hear you. Me too. Blew my mind. I have so many questions. Honestly, I'm not judging Asian parents, I simply…
You're right. I never imagined it would be this extreme. More so for those so very, very, young. Thank you so much. I have a thing in my brain where I have to learn something new everyday. Thank you for teaching me something new I absolutely needed to learn as part of my love and understanding of Asian culture. Honestly, I don't take it for granted xx

OMG! Thank you so, so much. I watched every second and I held my hand over my mouth horrified as a Westerner at some scenes.
I'll be honest, so sad, so very, very sad to watch. Western parents (non elite), would never contemplate this. The wellbeing, happiness and health of their children are their ultimate happiness, irrespective of whether they're academic.
Some parts didn't surprise me as I spent 2-months in SK on a Gastronomic Food tour in 2019, prior to lock-down and spent a day with a Director from an elite university (she took me to see the university), and explained to me how very hard it was for SK children to even think about entering this university and what it took to be accepted. She had huge empathy.
Thank you so much. I've learnt so much in 58 minutes from you. Honestly, thank you. This video will truly stay with me and make me think differently.
That episode was eyes opening, we often see in drama how hard working student are in korea and we know the stress…

Is this normal in Asian cultures? Would an Asian parent honestly let their 10-12 year old child work until 10pm at night in order to further primarily their future and there's without a decent meal? Ultimately, I don't think so, but as with Western cultures, that pressure is definitely present.
what amazing was in this episode that WYW found someone who is more eccentric than her... don't get me wrong...so…
Hey you. Agree. However most importantly for me, she's slowly, slowly learning she can be who she is... and if she can't, they don't matter in her life.
Every week I am afraid to watch the new episodes...'cause I like this drama so much and I am afraid new eps mi8…
So hear you. However, my positive spirit to-date so tells me the writer is all over this to a level I can't imagine. I so hope I'm not proved wrong, but to-date this writer has blown my mind. Best writer in K-drama history for me.
