The vibes are immaculate, there is only one but...I understand that dieting is a big part of kpop idols' life…
Their demographic is a wide age range, not just kids and teenagers. They're adults themselves, and have even said their fans aren't just young girls. JK has had to remind fans numerous times that he's an adult, & he's allowed to sing about sex. Maintaing health & dieting is part of being an idol; any one that looks into the industry soon realises that, even younger fans. BTS may be an influence, but they never would intentionally do anything to harm Army; it's ultimately a parents responsibility to enstil healthy eating habits in their children, & I'm saying this asna parent myself.
The shipping culture has reached dizzying heights and this series is not helping. People are claiming to see things…
A lot of the times, no matter what it is, toxicity always stands out the loudest. Best to just ignore it, and not give it any attention; especially when it comes to peeps shipping real life people without their consent.
Funny, but the fact that they used a too light shade of matte foundation, for everyone, just looked awful and was distracting. They only got lucky that it matched the female lead and male leads friends skin tone the best.
So, I liked it. It was quite fast paced and funny. The only thing that royally bugged me, besides the usual present stoopid villains, was the fact that it appears they used the same shade of foundation for everyone; and it was way too light. It stuck out on the male lead, and even worse on the male villain. I think they only got lucky that it matched the male leads best friends skin the closest, as well as the female leads. But, still, it was just a solid matte layer, with no definition or highlighting. Then, they ruined the female lead, right at the end, by using an even lighter foundation. The whole "foundation" thing made the series less enjoyable, as it was really distracting.
So, I got to episode 5... It all began straight away with them fighting, and not knowing enough about them to care about either of them, let alone their marriage/divorce. Not having a care about them, watching them interact, the constant fighting, is just annoying. Dropped. (I've been watching a lot of their stuff on their Channel, there's a playlist of movie length versions of the dramas, so I'm not new to watching them. This is the first one I've decided to just not even bother to stick it out.)
Here's the link to the full youtube playlist with eng subshttps://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyLbHF3-UFDDY0z43t87xvTdeJ_wIBV6B
There's also a full movie version available, at Tencent's YouTube, with in-built English subtitles. There's also a Playlist of all their series, uploaded as movie length versions, if you scroll far enough through their Playlists.
The ratio is a bit off, so I changed my screen size (to Cinema), through my TV remote, so it zoomed in and cut the black off the top and bottom of the screen. English subtitles are built-in.
Yes, I read what was going to happen, and who she was going to end up with, which is why I decided to not watch any more. If I carried on watching it, it would just annoy me even more.
It's not Korea or women, it's just one of those annoying tropes in dramas that needs to die. There are much better dramas, I will enjoy more, than this one. I really dislike time jumps also, as mostly we don't get to see what happens, and there is no communication between the "couple"; as if phones and email don't exist.
Idk if you have watched it already, but THE LIES WITHIN is an amazing thriller !!! It has the SML from this drama.
Hey! No, I haven't, and it's not on my Watchlist either. I have other things, starring him, on my Wishlist, where he has a much more prominent role, that I want to see. I'd rather see him in a main role, like his most recent drama, rather than just a support role in a thriller; I also have other thrillers on my Watchlist, with main leads that I favour, thats I've yet to watch as well. Thanks though, I'm sure someone else will want to watch it and enjoy it as much as you did.
