Sure thing! Thanks for the advice. I do want to watch more Japanese dramas, as I am going to be living in Japan in the near future, I'd like to know more about the culture and also the language (which I'm somewhat teaching myself) and yeah! I'll definitely check out MARS.
I don't mind if there is some violence, as long as it's done tastefully and not madlessly bloody and gorey. Same with angst, I can handle it, as long as its done well. Because Autumn Concerto from Taiwan was also angsty, very much so. But it was done well. The actors were very believable. So yeah. But romance is definitely a favorite of mine. :D

Yeah, I understand the disliking of the side-character in Bokura Ga Ita. In the movie I found her even more annoying. But the story still ends on a good note. It was pretty angsty, but I still managed to enjoy it.
I also love down to earth dramas, but I find silly ones refreshing too at times.
I haven't watched too many Taiwanese dramas outside of "Autumn Concerto" which I loved. I'll have to check it out.
I love Romance, Slice of Life-ish type dramas the most. I also like some action, and mystery is good. But I'm not into heavy violence. I also like historical, or biographic type stuff. But yeah. :) Anything with a really good & creative plot, I pretty much love. Outside of lots of violence.
The thing I really like about Korean dramas (at least that I've watched so far) is that they tend to be cleaner, in that regard (language, nudity and blood-wise) thus my preference to Kdramas:)

Hello there! It's good to meet you too! I happened upon your page, because I noticed you're friends with MAL friend (Sweetpea) and I thought it was cool that you watch anime and dramas. :)
Recently I've watched IiJimae, Fly, Daddy, Fly, Postman from Heaven, Bride of the Century (all Korean), and the Japanese Bokura ga Ita movies based off of the anime & manga series. All really good.
The first 3 really made me cry, IiJimae also has a great soundtrack (which I just purchased) I am also watching "Hours of My Life" which is currently airing in Japan. Really good and down to earth drama. I feel it's the heartbeat of Japan (showing Japanese life as it is in real life) Sooo yeah! How about you?
