It’s a comment I see so often and (perhaps not in all cases but in many) I can only put it down to a form of internalised misogyny - the idea that high pitched voices are annoying is a notion taught to us in order to justify silencing women. The converse idea that voices in the lower register are more attractive actively supports male voices being dominant. I never see ‘the ML voice is so annoying’…
Really can’t understand the low rating - this is miles better (and healthier) than many of the dramas in this genre. If this is really about the looks of the main character then I sort of want to channel Som’s statement at the end of ep 11….

I see! So one rating could seriously skew the rating of, for example, the verified/stars rating was potentially like 10 people whilst the ‘currently watching’ is all 511 voters. I understand now how a minority might affect the overall mark. It does seem somewhat illogical but I don’t know what the numbers of verified accounts to non verified is. From a security POV, I don’t want to add my phone number so my account will remain unverified and I imagine many others may think the same.
I do love this - I particularly love that it is essentially 58 episodes of Ye Hua desperately trying not to tell everyone (except Bai Qian) to just Fuck Right Off.
This is good so far IF you are watching the full versions of the episodes (these are at least an hour long but one is like 1h 11mins) - i assume the poorly edited eps are one of the reasons for the extreme polarisation in the comments.
