If you don't like it, why force yourself to? No one is forcing you to. Just drop it and forget about it. There's no point coming here to complain. You're just wasting your time watching something you don't like and complaining about forcing yourself to watch it. Isn't that ridiculous? Are you just looking for things to complain about or so desperate to enjoy something others are? Everyone has different tastes. Remember, time is precious. Don't force it on yourself and blame the drama for it. Go find something else to watch :)
Seems like this may be an unpopular opinion but I don't think the ending is bad and it kinda fits with the theme…
You're right. If this truly is the end to this story, It's not a bad ending. It's a sad ending. I didn't like it, but I think it's fine. But people can't differentiate between the two. People go with their moods...and that's ok too. We're all just imperfect humans living in an imperfect world where fictional worlds are imperfect too. That said, the drama teased us with a supposed good ending...and when it gave people hope and doesn't deliver on it, that's when the rebellion begins... At least let our fantasies play out perfectly...but nah...we need a dose of reality, apparently. As soon as we can accept this, we can learn to enjoy the entire story, not just rely on the ending to give us that flight of euphoria. Which is why I personally understand why people ask if the drama has happy ending or not before they start watching, but...that just shouldn't be the reason for not watching something...unless we're already in so much depression we just can't bear to add more to it today. Still, gotta remind ourselves... it's a story. It's not real, even if we feel for the characters as though they're alive. And who knows, maybe all the fictional stories we have come from some parallel universe's reality
I'm sorry, but, wtf was that ending?!?!?!!!!!! UGGGHHHHHH
If that was the ending, it really wasn't bad. It's certainly sad, but not bad. Would I like a completely 100% happy ending? Yes. But it's ok if it isn't. Fiction can certainly emulate the reality of sad endings
I also don’t understand why people would downvote the drama after seeing the rest of the remaining eps. The…
Because a lot of mdl users are young and immature. Although it's true that a bad ending can destroy an entire drama/movie/etc, but there is a difference between a bad ending and a sad ending, and certain drama fans can't seem to figure out the difference. The ending to Game of Thrones...now that was a bad ending..
aside from the scandal aren't time travel dramas also banned in china? 🤔😫
there's a lot of misunderstandings about what exactly is banned. It's not like...oh...time travel, immediately banned. It depends on the context, type of time travel. There's a specific reason for the time travel ban...if that reason isn't present, it should be ok. It's not a general ban on all things related to time travel. I think of these regulations as more...70% guideline.
I loved Ma tian Yu în Ice fantasy and xuan lu and wang zhui in The untamed, but I am not sure about the lead…
Angelababy actually is just fine as an actress.. She doesn't overact like some others, and she doesn't just have that 1 permanent surprised expression (ex: Gulnezer), and she doesn't put on the stupid cutesy expression i find so annoying that other actresses seem to have permanently etched... Angelababy's acting is more mature than theirs. Her facial expressions are on point. Everything I've seen her in, she did just fine. A lot of people just throw her into the same group as some young wide-eyed actors who just can't act.
I thnk the quick pacing is because of the time resets. Have you seen the drama Reset? Cinematography is only good…
I think motivation is already pretty obvious... it's only 5 episodes in...it's a story about someone trying to save the people they care about. Don't expect it to be a epic story. This type of pacing isn't for you, but it really isn't a bad drama imo. It's just not to your liking. I think this is the type of drama that is more action than character development.
Just finished the first 3 episodes and this plot is kind of crazy to start. They have this storyline moving at…
I thnk the quick pacing is because of the time resets. Have you seen the drama Reset? Cinematography is only good in the highest budget dramas...usually, so don't expect too much for this. i didn't, so I'm not disappointed. If you want to compare it to LLTG or Luoyang, then yea...it's lacking. But comparing it to dramas from 10 years ago, it's good
they're no scarier than netizens from other countries though. have you seen the stuff maga people in the USA post? It's not just them either. it's scary af evverywhere. There's extremists everywhere. I think there's a worldwide bias against chinese people in general....somehow, we're just seen as worse than everyone, even if we do the same things... If one person says something dumb, it must mean we all think it...But because we have over 1 billion people, it's gonna seem like it's worse. So much attention is paid to the netizens, that no one pays attention to the rational, normal people...as though we don't exist. Chinese netizens got grudges against too many things and nowhere to vent it, so...there they go. But, you have to realize...it's just a fraction of netizens that are like that. And they all congregate into the same discussion groups so it seems like they're all like that. But just as there are many irrational netizens, there are rational ones...and some try to reason with them. It's the same everywhere. Keyboard warriors around the world...Usually, the most rational people don't say anything, because it's like playing piano to a cow...they won't understand a single thing. It may seem like a lot of scary netizens...but the rational ones far outnumber them. But you know, the loudest voices are usually the scariest and dumbest.
ban is dumb. but people in general are dumb as well. esp angry netizens with nothing better to do and a belly full of judgement who manage to turn melons into mountains, alerting the government into banning shit that causes controversy
no. The time travel ban is a little more complicated. They banned that because they didn't want someone going back in time, and changing history, because they don't want someone judging history and changing it...for example, girl goes back in time to Qing dynasty and changes the fates of historical characters (I'm looking at you, Scarlet Heart). Time reset is a different thing. It doesn't go past the time the story starts in.
Also...the bans....some are enforced, and some are a bit looser. It's up to the discretion of the people who review it to decide if the material is exactly what the original intent of the ban was for.
I thought china didnt allow reincarnation/transmigration stories? How did this one pass censorship?
reincarnation happens in so many cdramas, i doubt it's actually enforced. And this drama...I wouldn't call it reincarnation/transmigration... It's more in the line with the drama Reset. Shit happens. And then fl wakes up in the past. Time resets. This loopholes over the banned stuff. Groundhog day :P
Not losing Hope...Waiting🙂♥️...Tgcf pls come soon...I don't understand why china has to be this much strict…
Well, if you want to go back to the root of it...we were accepting of it until Christian Missionaries came :| .....Had generations of bisexual emperors :*)
CCP worries that people will think we're weak if we have all these "feminine" men. Stems a lot from being made fun of by foreigners over how we look. We're a scarred people who don't want to admit how much it bothers us. Millennials and younger are widely accepting of lgbtq. But unfortunately, they don't run the government. The older generations do. Eventually, things will change.
It's not homophobia in the same sense of the Western countries. It's not about religious morals (putting aside some chinese christians I know). It's about how other countries see us. It's about the "oddity" of it because there's so much less exposure to its existence, that people are wide-eyed about it because it's exotic and alien to them. And it's about the morals of having a "proper marriage" and having children. "Getting married and having a child is the proper path" is a saying that's ingrained into older generation's brains. If you don't marry and conceive a child, that's not a proper life....is basically the gist of it. Ugh.
I cant even understand what the synopsis is about.
MDL synopsis sucks. what's directly copied and translated into English is hardly ever intelligible. Either because of poor translation or poems and metaphors that make no sense to people outside of China. They just don't care about having a synopsis that actually tells the plot in a way everyone can understand and follow. It's not that hard to write a real synopsis instead of just copy, paste, google translate. Even if the original source synopsis isn't good, once it's finished airing, it shouldn't be that hard to make a proper one....without relying on source synopsis that was god awful to begin with. Whoever writes the source synopsis don't seem to care about making synopsis that captures your attention, like trailers can.
Could watch the animated version. I find it hilarious. It's currently airing.
it's got 8 episodes so far, seems to be 1 ep a week. came out around the same time as the drama. It's got a lot of differences from the drama but XLH and DFQC are still main characters. still very enjoyable to watch.
Also...the bans....some are enforced, and some are a bit looser. It's up to the discretion of the people who review it to decide if the material is exactly what the original intent of the ban was for.
