I love that! I loved that he was brought back with the bone orchid and how it came to her? Its interesting how…
because plants are alive. they need nutrients, water, etc. and she's a fragile plant that needs plenty of attention and care. the bone orchid is fine just hanging there for 500 years xD
This has to be the most mid-ending ever. I think they tapped out, in my opinion. It could have been fleshed out…
She did also ask XF, do you believe in miracles? Which means, while she admits it's unlikely he'd return, there is still a chance. What happened to bring him back to life, can be considered a miracle. Just like he nurtured the plant, she nurtured the bone orchid. They each poured their love and care into nurturing each other to come back.
How is LLTG? I love the leads but I’m hesitant to start it. I’m not really into dramas that are heavy in family…
Immortal Samsara is good. The issue with it are the draggy scenes revolving around side characters that no one cares about, which you can just go ahead and skip. There is an incredibly hateful character who just haunts the show, and I can't stand a single moment of her scenes and her goosebump-invoking sickly sweet voice. The scenes between FL and ML and the people they care about are very worthy of your time. The story is good, but filler scenes are too long. Just watch a few seconds to see what is happening, and then skip over it. If they reduced the duration of the scenes that no one cares about, this drama can be 40 episodes, with strong rating and review. So, my advice...do watch Immortal Samsara. Do skip the draggy scenes, forget it ever existed. Be happy :)

LLTG is really good. The drama and comedy are on point. The interactions between the characters are so hilarious sometimes. They even manage to add comedy into very serious situations sometimes, and it totally works. Their comedic timing are on point. Their facial expressions are on point as well and the main characters and supporting characters are very well written. The drama isn't draggy at all, like it tends to get in many other dramas. I thoroughly enjoyed every single episode. The interactions between the Emperor and the other characters are never dull, even his wives are very well written characters and they aren't jealous scheming concubines you usually see in political dramas. When watching this drama, one has to keep in mind that the fl is 15 and has been abandoned for the first 15 years of her life, so whatever grudges and misgivings she's got is understandable, and people judging her expect perfection in someone. She's someone who's growing and honestly, I found her quite relatable. For a 15 yr old who hasn't been educated, I find her incredibly mature for her age, so don't listen to people who find her immature and keep complaining that she doesn't understand the ml. She's a wonderful character who has her own ideas about how to live her life for herself.
wtf are you talking about...are you looking at the right drama?
creative liberties? why waste your anger on things like this? Is it worth your energy? I am a girl so I won't understand? You sound like a really immature man-child. I will stop here. There's no point to this at all.
It's usually a sign that the acting and script were well done, when it's able to make me shed tears. Actual tears pouring down my face like a waterfall. And now my head will throb for the rest of the day. I'm usually pretty stingy with my tears when it comes to dramas/movies. It has to be exceptionally well done (or something personally triggering) for the tears to come pouring out the way it did this time.
This is just a comment for everyone complaining about FL being too childish. It's gotten to the point, where I've…
She's not acting childish, even in the beginning episodes. For example: So, she's got a big crush on the war god, so does every girl there. Who hasn't had those daydreams? But in the forest, once he rejected her flower gift, she didn't pester him, and accepted that. That is not childish. It is very mature. She's annoyed and acting out because a demon lord has attached himself to her. But she hasn't done anything that's actually childish. I think people mistake her for being childish just because of her voice...which sounds like a very young girl. Just because a girl is annoyed and raises her voice at someone, it doesn't mean she's being childish. What exactly has she done that's so childish? Even in the beginning, when she narrates her life, she isn't complaining.
The childish ones are the other fairies who bully her because of her crush on the war god and because of her being a lowly orchid.
Her voice annoyed me at first, but I quickly realized it suits her, and it grew on me, and she grew on me as an actress as well. I also enjoy her character much more than I thought I would. She's mature, but with a childlike voice. That is all. Every time people think she's being childish, stop yourself and ask...why is she acting this way...is her behavior truly unreasonable? A little pouting/crying doesn't equate to being childish. It's right there along with the belief that boys/men shouldn't cry. The Little Orchid's got a lot of emotions in that head of hers (a lot of repressed ones too) and if a tiny bit of pouting and crying is all she does to release the emotions...that's pretty mild. Now, murdering thousands of people to save the life of 1 person...that is what's childish....and evil...mostly evil.
People thinking she's childish...it's like a microcosm of how people are easily misunderstood in the real world, and how people judge someone just for the sound of their voice, their looks, their behavior without even trying to understand that person and why they're behaving a certain way. Let's try to look beneath the superficial and get to the heart of things :)
This is just a comment for everyone complaining about FL being too childish. It's gotten to the point, where I've seriously become annoyed and feel I must say something. There's plenty of dramas where the FL is actually truly childish, but I won't get into those. These are my thoughts about the little orchid, I'm not meaning to offend anyone. Spoilers below!
the hype around this drama has pulled me back to cdrama. enjoying so far 😊however can somebody tell me......would…
The focus has been on main leads in aired episodes. Any attention on side characters does not last more than a few minutes. As the story goes on, there is a little more attention on side couple. I completely understand what you're saying. I hate filler side romances that seem too forced and have barely anything to do with the story's progression. But sometimes, there's a secondary couple or just side story that does capture my interest.
Can someone tell me how this compares to Love Between Fairy and Devil?
These are both xianxia drama, but the stories are very different. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Both are worthy of your time. There's some boring parts in Immortal Samsara you may feel like rushing through but it's honestly not an issue. Just skip and watch the parts you like xD.
It’s useless to talk about ratings now.In case you don’t know, ratings were manipulated by haters. It drops…
I have no clue if the company did do that. It just seems that way, because it's the same actors playing those filler roles I always skip over. They could be entirely innocent of this. But the result is the same... If the scenes feel unnecessary, I tend to wonder why it's there. It just feels like they're forcing characters on us that obstruct the flow of the story
If at all this drama should be dropped in low rating from 9.2,it should be 8.7 at least8.2 describes this drama…
the 9.2 rating was way off because people rated 10 for episodes that wasn't aired yet. So, when these episodes started airing, naturally, it would fall dramatically when real ratings came in. 8.2 seems to be right for now, because there's so many scenes that I know I and many others just skip over, to the point where I've sometimes only watched a few minutes of an episode.
Honestly, if they made the entire series 40 episodes, and reduced the filler scenes (which usually takes up over half an episode), I have no doubt this drama would be at least 8.6. There's just too many unnecessary scenes that could have just been a minute long... I don't mind scenes that contribute to the story, but so many scenes were too long and too pointless. Personally, the scenes between the turtle and fox don't do anything for me, so I tend to rush through them. Plus, they made a hateful character that kept coming back; her voice has that sickly sweet tone that gives me goosebumps and makes me mute the sound when she talks.
There's many reasons why the rating is what it is. The scenes between YY and YD are always 9.5 for me. Even YM gets high rating from me. But most of the other scenes, I cannot ever rewatch because it does nothing for me and bored me to tears the first time. The scenes w/ the east dragon prince....yea, none of that needed to be more than a minute long. I don't need to see him plot for 30 minutes. And I don't need to see the Lamp bitch's sob story in the mortal world; there was no point...ain't no one gonna feel bad for her. As for the love story between the turtle and fox, I don't see what the point of it was...it feels like the writer just forced a love story in there for the sake of a secondary couple, which frankly is really annoying in most dramas. Their story could just be a separate story of its own; it has nothing to do with anything... I'd rather they give the turtle more screen time on his own, just spending time cursing at the turtle-flipping bastard.
But I love Immortal Samsara, and I wouldn't compare it to other xianxia dramas. They may all have similar setting, but the story isn't the same, once you peel apart the superficial layers. This genre is exactly what it is. If it's xianxia, it's destined to have something to do with forbidden love, falling into the mortal realm, blah. Once you make your peace with that inevitability, you'll feel more chill and accepting.
I suppose, these words are for people who cry about it being boring and same old story, not you :) I'm just venting

I'm new so I'm not sure how the ratings work. But for the past week, I looked at the episode ratings, and it seems a dozen people rated 10 for episodes that haven't even aired. Naturally, when those episodes start airing, a more accurate rating comes out. The ones who rated 10 for all the episodes that haven't aired are outliers. I believe this is why the sudden rating drop, because there are actual ratings now from viewers. For people who gave ratings of 10 to all unaired episodes...this is poor behavior, but I do understand it. However, it just causes people to be confused and fingerpoint at "haters" when the truth is quite different.
I do enjoy this drama though. Low ratings (not from haters) are likely due to expanded filler scenes I doubt most people will care to watch. The main story is about YD and YY, and yet, it seems their company made all the filler scenes to promote their less famous actors. Imo, there's a right way to do it, and wrong way...and this is wrong. If filler scenes take up half the entire show, they should at least in some way, contribute to the progression of the main story, or give much needed insight into it. But it doesn't, and thus these scenes are just skipped over, even though I tried to make myself watch it. I cannot get myself to care at all about the side character's romances; they seem too forced. Honestly, the fillers scenes could have all been minutes in length instead of more than half of each episode. With the turtle's love story, it's like they're just trying to replicate the success Eternal Love had with its side character romance.
Some of the filler scenes do contribute to the story, though...I just wish they could have made the other filler scenes more compelling. When the 40 episode limit began, I actually thought this would hinder the unnecessary filler scenes in dramas; nope, I was wrong.
How the ratings drop that fast !!! The show is really Nice I cannot wait to see more !!!
