Its all good. You cant know everything.
But yeah I guess part of why it usually looks bad is because it isnt necessary the actual fighting thats important but the way its choreographed. It has to look realistic but also aesthetically pleasing and they dont seem to get it right most of the time. (But also I havent watched this yet so I dont know what exactly the issue is)

Thailands national sport is muay thai and there are plenty of people all over the world who go to thailand to learn it there.
As you said they may not have had the buget to get professionally trained or get a good action scene choreographer. But saying the motherland of one of the biggest martial arts sports isnt well known for it is kinda wrong.

Thats why I said „adding a few more“ because as we can all tell them having so little screentime has people divided even if they already added more.

Anyway lets agree to disagree and hope that there is gonna be a second season or more episodes as you meantioned.

As I said its normal for an adaptation to add or take certain things from the source material. No one is saying to completely change their storyline but adding a few more scenes of them together or flashbacks would make it more enjoyable. And that way their story goes wouldn’t change at all.
Them being main characters (even if secondary) only adds to most peoples confusion of them having so little screen time.

This show has 16 episodes with a run time of about 45 minutes. I promise they could’ve added some stuff without overshadowing huayong and mr sheng.

But this is all my opinion so you can obviously agree or disagree with me. I‘m all for a peaceful discourse because thats what mdl is for.

I know people are divided on this but imo saying people should stop complaining about the lack of wenlang and gaotus screentime because thats how it is in the novel is a bit lazy.

I get that argument but this is not the novel. Making a show based on a novel means knowing what to add or take from the source material to make it more enjoyable. I mean they‘re literally main characters and promoting as main characters as well.

They could‘ve done their storyline so much better because they would’ve had creative freedom to add things to their story. I swear all gaotu has been doing is leaving the company in the previews of the last like 4 episodes.

I‘m lowkey confused why people still talk about censorship with this gay as show. This would’ve never seen this light of day if chinese censorship was involved in anything that has aired up until now.
Now idk whats gonna happen in the future because this show and the actors are gaining immense popularity and if they found loopholes to get this released china will probably find ways to stop it.

But whatever you didnt like about the office scene had nothing to do with censorship because it would’ve simply never aired. I mean they were making out and undressing how would that have passed censorship lol

I agree. I havent watched that many chinese dramas but I‘ve noticed this pattern with some of the ones I‘ve watched. They dont seem to care a lot about continuity. They just jump from scene to scene without a transition between them. The dubbing bothers me a lot as well but I understand why they do it.

Actually its Joe who is Korean and Peace mother is Thai. But its very obvious that the actor playing Joe is Thai imo because he is fluent.
I get what they were trying to do with the storyline but as I said I don’t think it adds any value to the story because them being korean isn’t really that relevant to much that is happening. Joe and Peace could’ve been the same characters but from Thailand and not much would’ve changed.
Anyway I‘m not trying to hate this but for me the language barrier is sth that takes away from the quality of the show. And again I think Sihyun is really talented and has a lot of chemistry with Tape.

This is not supposed to sound like a hate comment because I really like Tape and Sihyuns chemistry and I think Sihyun is a great actor.
But I personally dont understand why they chose a korean actor who very obviously does not speak thai. Idk if its because I‘m aware of the language barrier but I think some dialogue gets lost / they cant have because Sihyun is not able to have a long conversation in thai.
I dont think that Peace etc. being korean adds anything to the story beside the language barrier Peace and Junho have so they speak korean sometimes. Which just makes me wonder why they added the korean part at all.
