Tbh I always assume that stories abt gay men are written by women because legit 95% of gay stories Iāve read or heard abt were written by women. The only gay book written by a male author I can think of rn is Aristotle & Dante and then my mind goes blank helppš But thereās such a stark difference in how gay men are portrayed in those books compared to any female written book Iāve come across. The show made them having sex actually seem like a bonding experience not just pure lust. Their first time had a completely different feel to it than the source material.
