Ryu Hyun Kyung (aka YDG's love interest LMFAOOOO) is such a comedic relief. Soyoon is a cutiepie. I fell in love with Hokyung Uni's captain (the gorgeous Jung Shin Hye), plus Haeyi's mom is a VIBE.
The infamous drama that gave Yoo Dong Geun his "Fist Of The Dragon" title LMFAO - he barged in the set and pumelled the director for overworking and mistreating Jeon In Hwa (his wife) and the other actors. Basically giving them "last minute scripts" just on the day of filming or even minutes beforethe scene because of the sbad planning, which was the reason the actors had a hard time acting properly. Seeing Jeon suffering, he decided to take matters in to his own...fists lol
YSK : Jeon In Hwa originally refused the role of Jang Hee Bin because she had no idea of how to act in a sageuk drama and was just a rookie of three years, but the director called her back and said "so you think you're someone who can refuse my drama? I called you for a reason". She had no choice but to accept, and after asking her other seniors for help with sageuk acting, got introduced to fellow actor Yoo Dong Geun, 8 years her senior and experienced in sageuks, and fell in love with him.
So not only did this drama get her critical acclaim, popularity, a reputation as a good sageuk actress (which she proved further in Ladies Of The Palace in 2001) - it also got her a husband :-)

Princesses were not raised with their brothers in the Joseon era! They rarely saw each other and even stayed and slept in seperate buildings on the palace grounds. The society and royal family preferred sons more and cared more for them because each of them could be a potential next king. The princesses were often married off to sons of influential politicians or yangban families once they got their first periods (around puberty) and kinda seen as a burden, sadly.

Hokyung Uni captain (Jung Shin Hye) is an absolute stunner (every korean actress who is named Shin Hye - from Hwang to Park to Jung is a stunner literally) ! Also love her no-nonsense but also chill character, the way she didn't declare war on Theia lmfao I'd do that if they pulled what they did
