This movie just solidified my love for the Choi Eun Hee x Shin Sang Ok combo, like GOD TIER WRITING GOD TIER ACTING GOD TIER MESSAGE (even if a bit preachy at times) GOD TIER CINEMATOGRAPHY GOD TIER EVERYTHINGGGGG
"They end up hurting each other " is a rather light sentence , compared to "he commits marital r4pe and she doesn't take it". People hated it back then and I still hate it now but sadly this one was the "hit movie of 1992"
They filmed in morocco not Algeria. The actors are moroccans not algerians.
They couldn't film in Algeria because Korea and Algeria didn't have diplomatic relationships due to Algeria being under a socialist regime that only had contacts to North Korea and other socialistic countries at that time :) The original novel this movie is based on is set in Algeria
It's because no one gives a damn about these dramas T.T
P R E A C H there's a really good reason why all the "rookie" and "young" actors of back then became really respected senior actors, they were trained realistically and in real life dramas where they played everyday normal characters, i can't see the same future for some of the young ones now
Gone but never forgotten.... I still can't believe that we won't see her again. The halmeonis are slowly starting to leave us and I can't handle it T.T Rest in power, halmeoni Soo Mi!
The fact that Jo Yong Won is the only one who has her old/80s photo on her profile, and all the others have recent pictures... she was so popular but it never translated for her to success T.T
GIRL whoever posted this picture of her fucking HATES her, huh? like, this ain't the Lee Miyeon we know ffs. This isn't how she looks? Can someone change the pic PLEASE
This is a really heavy drama but we need to watch it from the perspective of the 80s and 90s. Many cultural values and midsets have changed since then, some thing s might not make sense to us but they did in that time.
