I don't think any of the consorts have been granted favor, since the Emperor began the summon Nyang every night starting soon after she became consort. But he did favor the Empress at least once, you have that episode in which the empress is bitter because she felt that the man embracing her was like an empty shell with not felling for her at all. So at some point he did perform his duty, but nothing more. That's the way I see it.

(part 2)

But I really enjoy being with him, and I'm not in the same emotional state I was in November, when I was heart-broken and weak emotionally. Then my hormones were telling me "get a man for youself and forget about that jerk, NOWWW!". Now that I'm myself again, I know that I really, honestly like him. So I don't know. I know I'll see him again, but I don't know if I want to "officially" go out with him. The best for me would be to stay friend and tag along and see how it goes.

If he wanted me just for sex, he would have tried already, because he already saw me weak and even a tinsy bit drunk. But like I said, he's only there for 5 more months. Maybe he's playing the long game and his final goal is the "ride the white horse" before coming back to the motherland ?

I think that either way you should watch the ending. Any weird ending is better than the depressing cliffhanger of episode 19. Plus if you don't watch the ending, you'll miss some awesome scenes - but I don't want to spoil.

About Hiro, I think you're right, and that he is interested. After all, we ate together in the past, but paid separately, and last monday was the first time he ever paid for anything. Also, he did ask me some personnal questions. For example, he asked me "when you think about 'love', who's the first person that come to your mind?". He claimed that it was for a survey he had to do for school, but I think it was a pretext to ask if I was single.

But honestly, I'm not sure I'm ready for any relationship, and anyway he's bound to leave France at the end of the school year so at best we have 5 months before he starts living half-way across the world.

I just completed NINE, and I understand why you don't want to watch episode 20, if like me episode 19 left you crying and sobbing and fearing the ending. So I'm telling you this

WATCH EPISODE 20 !

That episode itself is pure daebakness...and confusing in that special WTFish way that show mastered for 20 hours. It will simply blow your mind.

Those two seem to be linked by the Revival Kiss Syndrom.

Can we have a real one, please ?

Well, now that she's realizing she has feelings for him and feels betrayed by the king, this will probably come next week. ^^

(part 3)

But I noticed changes in his behaviour.

1 - He actually said he wanted to see me and asked for us to meet at a café, outside the campus.
2 - He chose the table but offered me the best seat.
3 - He didn't let me pay for any of my drinks.
4 - He held the door as we walked out.
5 - At some point he actually touched me (as we were joking around he grabbed the back of my neck for like 3 seconds, but as you know he's japanese and before that he never laid one finger on me, so I noticed)
6 - He nearly walked me home because I know where he lives and I know that when he decided to say goodbye I only had 150 meters left and he easily had 40 minutes of walking ahead of him and he could have avoid it.
7 - He texted me 3 time that night after, to tell me he enjoyed meeting me, to plan another time, and to tell me I looked nice without my glasses.

So, what do you think ?

(part2)

As for my love life, I do have something to say. I am single, it's true, but yesterday something happened. Hiro texted me last Sunday (I didn't get in touch with him for the last...2 months because of the holidays and exams, and I thought he had forgotten me. I wasn't heartbroken about it, just too busy. Anyway.) In his text, he said he wanted to see me, and we decided to meet after class at a café the next day around 7PM.

After 2 minutes, it was like we've never been apart. As usual, we both spoke in French/Japanese so no one could follow our conversation, and as I am something of a shy girl, maybe that's part of why I was more at ease. We chatted and drank a couple of beers and he got me home around midnight, so we actually talked for 5 hours.

Hi ! So nice to hear from you again, I was acutally going to PM you. No really, it's true.

I'm glad to see you got some action on your V-day even without 'patronizing comercialism' How were the Olympics by the way ? ^^

I hope we'll know more about that friend and her dramaesque life-story. I too have older friends, and I know that they can be really fun and agreable. Plus you can learn from their experience. Not that she's a granny or anything, but you know...12 years ahead it's already something.

I know the feeling of not being able to finish a drama because you're afraid of the ending. It took me 2 years to finally complete Koizora and 3 month to watch the last episode of Gu Family Book. Righ now I'm stuck at the 11th episode of NINE because I don't want the story to change !

I had a good time, my cold was not that bad and I could enjoy seing friends and family. (...next one)

Watched episode 32, and it was incredible. The ending especially. TaHwan is right, this hide and seek has to stop, it's time for them to go on and make babies lol.

My prediction of episode 33 :
She rejects his kiss at the last moment or somebody come in and stop it from happening. (because the begining of a kiss scene in a cliffhanger means it's not going to happen...it's always like that)then, there is this hunt scene when Nyang is attacked by the Queen and Wang Yu is going to rescue her. After watching them return, Wang Yu helping Nyang, Ta Hwan feel hurt and betrayed and give her the good old BBF line "So this is your answer?" kind of scene and nothing happens. Unless Nyang finally come to her senses and realize Ta Hwan is the man for her...but would that be too much to ask ?

So, after watching episode 31, this is my prediction :

The Empress hide the prince and raise him in secret while everyone think he's dead (hence Wikipedia saying her only child died in infancy). Nyang and the Emperor start their life together and she give him the baby we're all waiting for.

Time lapse, the two boys meet by accident and become friends. Nyang one day realize it's her child and there is a big problem with Wang Yu who hear about it and claim his son. Seeing her son again reminds her of her former affection toward the King, and there goes some new love twists.

The Empress is executed for fooling everyone. One the day of the wedding, Wang Yu leaves with the boy, which explains her crying, even though she IS in love and happy with the Emperor, she just have a few doubts. The emperor is jealous of that and will always fear to lose her. The end.
Far fetched ? Maybe lol.

Me too, I'm not leaving this ship even if it sinks I don't care.

@4winkay try Warrior Baek Dong Soo. He's also amazing here, a completely different person.

yes, he was the greatest rui among the three adaptations, I really wanted him to end up with makino so bad, that's…
he reunited with Matsumoto Jun in the great drama SMILE, where he is the bad boy and MatsuJun is the good boy, only in a much more serious situation. Very good acting as always.
displacedmoon Feb 18, 2014
Astonished he didn't have a stalker guide already. He's been one of my favorite J-actors for years. The good, the bad and the weird, he can act them all. And apparently, he can also be The Woman. Damn that picture is gorgeous. To me he's Japan's Johnny Depp.

Yeo Jin Goo is growing bigger and bigger in the industry AND in real-life. Soon he'll be a first lead in a drama, and not just a child version. The performance he did in HwaYi and his famous kiss scene in Potatoe Star show how far he'll go. Fighting !
