IDK. I am for some reason having a hard time getting used to FL’s 😑face every time. She shows some expression here and there, otherwise she just feels dead.

Also, I got they have a relationship beyond emperor and official, but my gawd, show him some face when he is emperor mode. It just feels strange that she’s constantly undermining him. So everyone in court uses him and belittles his authority including his supposed sword and what was supposed to be his one trusted official?? idk. this is driving me bonkers because I wanted to like their banter so badly.

on ep 7 - ML and FL switch so fast from a nice moment to suspicious behavior that I’m getting whiplash! ML breaks his self-imposed strictness and drinks for the first time at one simple suggestion by FL, and FL flies straight into overstepping and ML gets defensive and angsty. just like the part where she was “drunk” and sick. we won’t get any sweet moments without me thinking she’s up to no good and scheming something for her benefit whereas ML seems to genuinely find comfort being with her. It really compounds his solitude. 😭

the way he was slapping and being abusive is so over the top and all for wanting the ML to beg and apologize when the dude caused his own demise by stealing from the gang boss??? yup. vertical drama cringe

what in the vertical drama is happening at ep 18???!? It’s so ridiculous. it’s actually kind of funny because the antagonist in that ep usually plays the hero in vertical dramas that rescues damsels in distress. it’s weird seeing him behave this way…😬

I’m on ep 17 and I can sense some turns in the story coming. will things turn downhill soon? how many eps will the downslope last? SML is over here losing his marbles 😬

at least here the FL is completely oblivious to him and she does show him warmth and also does things for his sake. I’m only at ep 17 and I know something ugly is coming and I have a feeling it’ll be something FL does because he is way too into her.

I really liked how this drama, balanced comedy, action, politics, and romance. ML pulled humor so well and always came out looking smooth rather than just some puppy and you could see how the FL’s heart was wavering. ugh. I just finished and I already miss them!

So did they make ML too much of a simp? In my opinion, he was just the right amount and it worked for this story. Her being closed off after something as tragic as her whole family being killed, it just made sense that she would live this life with the sole purpose of protecting her family. She never made him look bad in front of other people or made it as if he just has to do things for her or serve her. She made it a very equal relationship, although loveless at first. FL was honestly admirable with her intelligence, compassion, gracefulness. I also liked how they showed ML going from living only for revenge of sorts, to living for somebody else and wanting to be healthy and alive for them as long as possible. I appreciate how they never dumped down ML, even if he was sipmping. He never did anything that was detrimental to him, but still remained the greenest of green flags. He didn’t just exist to make FL happy and succeed, this was his way of leaving his mark in the world and his legacy, especially after she got pregnant. I love when the leads are equally matched and eventually are so equally and truly in love with each other.

Oh. I see. He still did make it a point to say he would have chased her as his wife for the rest of his life 😂 so yup. Creeper to the end

I think that was more because he realized he finally had something of his own. He felt he was not favored and he had no siblings to be protected by (and I didn’t see a mom in the pic), so had to make moves of his own for the throne as a means of protection and power - really a way to find value. When his plan fails, he feels sorry for himself and gives up. At this low point, he ends up killing his unborn child and he realized that was his true low. He lost the one thing that was finally going to be his own. I think he also partly goes along with it out guilt. He took away her child (even though he notes she never wanted him or the child), he is truly lost and at his lowest. He is not of strong character so he just gave up.

Her acting is good, but I like her more in roles where she isn’t super cutesy. I know her voice naturally is kind of playful and she seems like a sweet person. I just can’t do the cutesy voice for 20+ eps though. I actually really like her when she is in an intense role. I mean I guess that’s also a show of her range if I like her in something’s and not others 😂

I got to 35 and I had to stop. My sadness. I know it’s better to have loved than to not love at all, but my gawd. Imagine having such a short time with such a (hotttt) green flag. it makes the loss so much greater.

the SML being annoying…wow. this takes it to a whole new level. what a creeper!!!! never knew I would watch a drama where the SML dominates the last few eps and just drives FL and all of us insane!

the scene of her in bed alone and finally crying. omggggg the heart break. I actually cried audibly

my eyes hurt. the tearsssssss I have shed. omg. it was so good and I knew but I didn’t want it to be true. I was still somehow not prepared. omggggg the pain. I want to be loved, respected, admired, and appreciated. what a friggin green field of a man 😭

Is it Esther from Love Between Fairy and Devil and Eastern Love Games? Or is it Esther from Moonlight and Ski Into Love? (back off. no hate intended. There are just roles I appreciate her in and ones that don’t appeal to me…mainly when the voice becomes too tiny voice.)

the failed confession was a breakup for all purposes. it was already slow burn but then there were 3 eps apart and then essentially them parting/breaking up. if you make us wait that long, keep their communication and cute relationship building

I am super annoyed. I really wanted to like it. aside from ffwding all the second and third couple ish, I thought I could deal with it, especially because someone said it’s slow burn but at least there are no breakups. yeah. no. this is ridiculous
