there’s huge character growth in FL, right? please tell me there is. it was very frustrating watching her in ep 1. I’m talking about her general personality. please don’t conflate this with anything regarding the horrible crime that haspens.

nuuuuu! So this is exactly what I was saying. that’s so unfortunate! I don’t know why writers feel they can’t show a FL being powerful but also capable of love. like in Shadow Love. FL was a strong, fairly cold character but they show her change to at least be very different when she’s with ML - she is kind of flirty and has a little twinkle in her eyes. Women can be multifaceted without it making them be weak 😭

oh no. I really dislike dramas where ML is fully dedicated and melting all over FL while FL doesn’t play an equal part (e.g. cheerleading/empathetic support, showering with affection, etc. - idk something 😅). is that what happens here - ML carries the relationship?

wdym he sacrifices himself to create a barrier and fix the realms just like his mother did and then FL destroys the remaining half of her heart to join him, BUT they somehow come back alive??? The agarwood burner thing just happens to be suspended in mortal world sky and their remaining spirit just magically lands in it and they are back as if nothing happened? IDK. I feel like they took too many liberties with how power is preserved and who gets to come back alive. Anytime you write fantasy/xinxia, there have to be rules for a magical world that are followed and it feels nothing was bound by rules in this

that ending felt like cheating to get an ending that won’t have the audience picking up pitchforks 🤦🏻‍♀️ after 61 eps, I feel let down. I enjoyed the drama for the most part but it did drag at some points which is not surprising with 61 eps (59 really). I enjoyed OTP’s chem until towards the end of mortal realm life. I understand FL has been through a lot but the way she closed out ML for most of the latter eps was hard to watch because ML has also suffered in so many ways. I also felt like there were so many close to death events or moments where a character had to lose some of their power, YET everyone felt the same level of powerful.

I thought being turned to stone would end her, but I got a second unpleasant surprise 😂She is gone fr now. If the director was to bring her back again, forget his wife, all the audience members would come after him 🔪 😝
