Yuh. I'll continue for Shiyi. He was a typical cdrama student jerk before uni but now (I'm at ep 14), hrs such a sweetheart and the number of times he thinks it's him, but then his smile leaves him. Ugh. The pain. I was happy when she went to sing and she realized SML was into her friend. IDK why she thought the nice guy who is nice to EVERYONE was into her. He didn't treat her special. Eek. Anyways. Onto continuing my pain for another 22 eps. *stress*

Oh. Wow! I wish I had asked before I started. I’m already on ep 10 so I can’t stop now so I’ll just be left frustrated. Hopefully the mini eps / clips of their lives after what’s in the drama will help. 😢

I kept this drama on PTW for so long and finally gave in to watch it. When does this drama pick up? I'm falling asleep and playing on my phone at ep 4 (it feels like I'm on ep 10 - so draggy). When I saw all those notifs, I expected to come on here to see pitchforks full of assumptions about my life all from my view and comments of a fictional character, but here was MMMhway’s well thought out and informative responses that allowed me to understand her viewpoint and regard the drama in a different light. Ppl discussing how this was her trying to avoid the patriarchal system and serving the king. She could have started this whole drama avoiding the crown prince, but she did like him so went out of her way to save him multiple times (even running all day to reach him and begging the king for help once and queen another time for his sake).
She also had a way out three times. Twice offered by the queen to come serve her and she would give her protection. When outside of the palace, she could have moved away instead of lingering in the city where she was ultimately called back by the concubine to be tortured.
