There is a pattern with C-Dramas. Slow building of characters, Villains in plain sight, bad camera shots when spying on others. FOR EXAMPLE: They are suppose to be hidden well and watching from a distance, but you can see them several yards away standing in the camera shot. They may as well be breathing on them. It's weird.

I agree. I also think Tilan, General Tang and 4th Prince all in collusion and planning something. General Tang and Tilan could possibly be lovers.

I haven't gotten that far. I'm on episode 19, but if she does anything strange, I wouldn't be surprised. I don't see her character lasting to the end. She's up to something and just holding out until she can meet her goals. No way she would have willingly signed up to be her sister's replacement without having an exit plan.

The Emperor's brother seems suspicious. He is carrying around eagle eggs and falling asleep in court—all suspicious behavior. As paranoid as the Emperor is, he doesn't find his brother suspicious. He's letting his guard down too easily. Poor Ti Lan can't get a break from ZX, but she's suspicious too.

It's reminding me of "One and Only." My PREDICTION ONLY: I believed Fang Jian when he said he would not marry. He said it more than once, and the director and screenwriter have emphasized that one line. However, I believe Fang Jian will love Hai Shi until his last breath; however, he will not put love before his loyalty to the Emperor. It will become an unspoken love story at the end. Both yearning for one another yet never having each other. She will learn to accept her feelings for the Emperor but lose them both to some tragic ending. This is my personal opinion, but my opinion can change as the series continues. I don't want to see a heart-wrenching conclusion, so I'll probably drop it somewhere in between.

I see. I'm not crazy about the Chairman's sister, but the FL's uncle seems okay. It's weird writing that they are pairing couples within the families. It plays out like a daytime drama like Young and the Restless. Having so many characters with significant roles, this should air three times a week. It's not good enough to be a weekend drama, it has too many high stressors that can lose viewers easily.

He's falling for Tilan. How does he take our Hai Shi away from Fang Zhu? Di Xu seems emotionally unstable, but I also see Tilan falling for him too. Stockholm syndrome is real in the c-dramas. It's all uncomfortable thinking about how the story can play out.

I'm at a 6.5. I love the actors, but the storyline is plodding. A few good scenes have kept my interest, but I could easily place it on hold.

Yes, I like her very much. I hope she comes clean and does not allow that stepmom to get the jump on her first. Either way, I see her and Dan Dan working through it after the truth is told. I'm not as interested in Mr. Park. He allowed all that foolery to occur at the risk of Dan Dan's mental health. Yes, Yeon Shil helped Mr. Park through a tumultuous time in his life, but that time has passed. The writers established early that she and her son had caused financial hardship by their selfish and poor decisions. Dae Beom was shamed into making better choices, but his mother has no scruples.

As soon as that amnesia storyline hit, viewers felt they had wasted their viewing time. I did. I have read on several occasions about the amnesia storyline and that Mr. Lee can only remember before the age of 22. Does anyone see where the storyline is going? Is this how they will validate his feelings for Dan Dan? Will he have to believe he's younger to accept their relationship? Still, I'm not too fond of the amnesia storylines. It's a lazy writing tactic if executed poorly.

Again, I look forward to reading the comments. I don't think I can commit to this series. It ends in March 2022. I can't invest in watching them reestablish their relationship, which should be sweet, but there are way too many variables. I can imaging that Gook Hee will come back into the picture. She and Sa Ra will tramble over Dan Dan to get Mr. Lee's affection.

There is one positive in this outcome; if he thinks he's 22, he will not be attracted to those spinsters fawning after his affection. Anyway, Dan Dan has been through enough and watching more heartache on top of her stepfamily's foolery; I can't invest emotionally right now.
