I said I'd wait until they all aired and binge the remaining episodes, but I couldn't. Episode 43 (16) was epic! It was serious yet humorous, "It's clearly a chicken!" I could not stop laughing. Also, the fight scene choreography was incredible.
I don't use acronyms for a complete sentence. I use words to communicate. What do I mean? Obviously, I don't have to converse with you about the drama. Thanks, @MrsAhnBohyun. :)
I really really hope they keep the scene in when LBY begs and cries. I have NEEDS. lol. I want to see that so…
ME too. When he returns to the capitol it is hard for him to hide his feelings for SS--even in front of YS. He is determined to change that indefinite status. Oh, the part when he has to depart to the border, I cried for him. The novel gives us more emotions. I wonder if they will make the bite marks on their arm in the coming episodes.
Based from the spoilers from the novel Luo Ji Tong has more appearances scheming against Shaoshang, but they barely…
She definitely has a big part in him coming back after 5 years when his abolishment was longer. He needed her get back to the capitol sooner. She's vile. Kills her own husband just to serve Lord Huo. He has a major poker face to keep her around him all those years.
I dropped almost halfway through the series. I recently finished it. Ugh. It was good at the beginning, and then it got the rating it deserved towards the end.
i hope too 🤧🤧, i think the Empress deserves better than what she gets right now. everytime Emperor and consort…
Yep, if you read, I mentioned LBY and the 3rd Prince's close relationship between Mariah and me. I appreciate you sharing your story as an example. My background/education is in behavioral health counseling, so when the 3rd prince describes his own social challenges in the novel, this is how it appears to me. It's a question for the writer. These are fictional characters, so it's only my opinion and in no way a discredit. :)

3rd prince isn't evil--if that helps. Just by the books, no bending the rules personality. He and LBY are very close and have their own way of communication.

He will slaughter them, but right before the wedding. Which is one reason SS cannot forgive him. She felt he chose his revenge over her. She was free-willed and independent, and she felt he made her depend on him, and as soon as she let her guard down, he disappointed her. She figured out his identity and tried to get him to open up before the massacre, and he didn't. She ended it indefinitely. But this is after she helps clear his name for killing Ling Yi, who everyone thought was his father. Making it a justified killing.
The Emperor punishes him for utilizing the Army to help him get revenge, but this is the novel's version. That's why he's gone for five years. It was to be longer, but he had to get back to SS after hearing she was engaged.

That's possible. I can only remember after the demotions; she believed 3rd prince would become the new CP like everyone else. The storyline of the fifth prince, a King, and CP became confusing to me throughout the last 20 chapters. I thought the writer was talking about the same person at one point. Possibly some translation errors, but I gathered as much as possible.
From what I read, her health deteriorates. She tells the Emperor that in days to come, he and Yue will have happiness as they did in their youth which causes Consort Yue to become overly emotional with sadness. Loved ones surround her as SS plays the flute in her passing. (tears)

Yes, so true. Fingers crossed that they write her a better ending.
It read that one reason she wanted to leave is because she thought the 3rd prince would treat her harshly when he became emperor, but I think the writer has changed the 3rd prince's demeanor. He's not as cruel as in the novel. The novel makes him appear to have Asperger syndrome (no pun intended), which affects his social skills, but he has a righteous heart, as displayed in the drama. The writers also changed some of the roles of the characters, so I'm sure hoping they finish this off well and give our Empress a better ending.
If the drama goes as the novel--I'm okay with the Empress' decision. My heart constantly aches for her when she's around the Emperor. Also, I hope they take out how Yue is happy she can have him to herself again once the Empress is gone. It would explain how she loves reminding the Emperor of their early romance in front of the Empress. Yue does not care about the Empress' position; she just wants the Emperor to herself.
I hope the writers do something different with this part of the novel.
For me, this show lost its spark four episodes ago. Nothing terrible, but I'm no longer rushing to Netflix on Wednesdays and Thursdays. So many characters have secret agendas, and no one has genuinely considered WYW.
Imma do that after I watch every episode as it is released. It's in the back of my mind every day!
I started reading the novel and I've been balling. I said I liked the drama because the cut some stories that would have been too long, but the emotions I'm getting from reading the novel. I need an emoji crying face with the mouth wide open. It's an emotional read.
