So far no. Not focus on romance.More focus on the journey , fights and politics
Jokingly, please don't mention any romance. lol. Someone came for me early. The story isn't focusing on romance at this time; the viewers get an idea of the females who will bond with the male lead other than our female lead. I like the lead female, but it's nothing significant happening right now.
There is no female interests so far. Where did you get your conclusion about three female interests ? Even the…
Because I'm getting alerts, I reread it. Honestly, I didn't read all of your posts. You came off as too forceful and rude.
You put assumptions into what I posted. When I simply stated, "I'm not latching on to the storyline or the three female interests."
If I'm not latching on to the storyline, that's my personal preference. If I'm not latching on to the three female interests, that's also my preference and opinion. I'm not telling you not to watch it. You can continue doing what you're doing. lol
It's nothing romantic about this show right now, but you made assumptions about my statement.
Three females are of interest. Viewers see the direction of the character development, and they're in the credits.
Again, if I'm not interested in the character development with those females, that's my opinion.
Yes, I do edit my sentences when there is a grammatical error. That's what educated people do, especially those at the end of a doctorate.
This genre isn't for everyone. I'd say if by the 3rd episode, you can't get into it then this drama isn't for…
I don't know for sure; his character in the series is slightly different than in the novel. The writers can always change the script. They usually do like the writing changed in Novoland: Pearl Eclipse. I see the significant relationships he will have with Jiang Ni, our lead female. We also see the important relationship between Nangong Pu She and Qing Feng. You just have to wait and see the outcome. The story isn't focusing on romance right now, but you can definitely see character development in those relationships.

You can't do anything about other people and their opinions. Especially, if it's not hurtful or disrespectful. Plus, I don't want to answer your questions. I learned a LOOOOOONG time ago that I don't have to answer every one because everyone isn't entitled to an answer even when they ask. Plus, I just chose not to answer you. You seem too sensitive.

Yep, you are possibly right. I didn't like Joy of Life either, so it's not for me. It's not that I don't understand, it's just I'm not a fan. Personal preference I guess. :)
I want to like this drama, but I'm not latching on to the storyline or the three female interests. *sigh* It would be better if Wang Xian Zhi appeared, or they would move further away from the assassination plot. This ends January 11th, so I may come back to this after the series has ended.
UPDATE: There were just a few that read deeply into my vague post about three female interests. *sigh* Some even became boisterous. So let me explain my opinion.
As I said in many posts, at this point, there is no romance in the series. I'm on episode 23. None. However, three females show importance to the ML and possible relationship development in the future. One is our female lead, and still, there has been no romance. That's hasn't been the focus at this point.
My opinion wasn't to detour anyone from watching. Please continue enjoying if you have enjoyed the series. I like reading the comments of those that are really enjoying it. That gives me a different perspective.
It's going nowhere, fast. I'm on episode 7, and someone needs to explain things quickly. It's on the verge of being considered dropped. The writer took me off the subject of the bed-chamber and family sword so quickly. The mysterious CEO and why he isn't looking for the missing person that was asleep in his office. These side stories are irrelevant or could have been written better into the storyline.
I enjoyed the two-hour show. I've been down about another series I've been watching (Young Lady and Gentleman), and these two episodes made me feel 100% better. Oh, I'm dropping that other series. It's plum crazy, and I can never reclaim my time. :( If anyone is watching a good drama, please share. Thanks.
Well they were expecting 35% and apparently they only had 32%. So a drop from last week.
I feel a little better. Not enough to redeem the last 13 weeks. I want to reclaim my time on another series. 2021 didn't give us many good dramas. I had to laugh at myself, "reclaim my time."
A great gift to the writer would be a drop in the ratings. Everyone should be tired of this rollercoaster. A more extraordinary gift is for ratings to drop a second time for the New Year. It's nothing against the actors; they are doing their job, but the storyline is pure insanity. The screenwriters should feel the viewers' frustration, and I don't know any other way, but low ratings.
In addition, I realized I no longer enjoy this drama and watching it is bat crazy.
What I really didn't understand was what made the king's mom join up with the queen. Like that all happened off…
By chance, do you remember in the novel if Hong Deok Ro's sister dies from an illness? I can't recall, and I could have my dramas confused. Either way, I feel sorry for her--Hong Deok Ro's a terrible person.

This is just my opinion.
Please share if you know of any other dramas that are great to watch over the holiday. Thanks :)
