I just started watching and saw him for the first time and boy, I don't know what's going to happen but he's so…
I can see that. I think I was just hoping for him to redeem himself so much after he protected the dukes residence etc. that I almost felt personally betrayed when he went all evil plan again. He did look tragically handsome taking that arrow though.
This was a nice drama overall. I loved so many of the characters and their relationships woth each other. Especially the grandmas and duke ying! Pretty heartwarming overall. Definitely more of a family drama than pure romance though I loved the OTP couple as well.
I read some of the comments here and I can see why they gave LJX a 'good' death. It seems like SML has quite a…
I also wondered why no one blamed him for that. They all acted like LSY was aiming for Yining, when really it was LJXs fault for dodging/deflecting the arrow. I found it quite telling of his characters selfishness.
Duke Ying was exceptional. Outstanding character. Honorable. Handsome.
I became a Duke Ying stan very quickly as well. New daddy was sooo much better than old daddy lol. The way he charged around defending her and showering her with affection and gifts was so cute! And the speech he gave about how Yining would marry whoever she liked? Chefs kiss.
I haven't read the comments since this drama ended. I finished it today and have to say I felt sad for Lu Jia…
I did for a second. He seemed like he was turning over a new leaf for a minute. Especially when I thought the unmarked wedding present was the dolls for Yining. Until his final plan. If he'd just left for the border quietly I would have wished him well and felt bad for him. After that last stunt he pulled not so much. He deserved an even worse ending.
1. So this is actually complicated. He comes to her kingdom in disguise as an envoy to select "a" bride but stays…
I really debated whether to watch this drama after all the comments about the ending, but your comment about the duck convinced me to start it. Having finished it, going in mainly for the duck, I must say 100% worth it for the duck. Xiao ke and the prince were the best. Overall a super cute watch. Thanks for swaying me. Besides, I've seen worse drama endings and they didn't even have a duck.
This actress is in so many dramas I watch and she kills her role every time. Ive seen her be a nice mom, a mean mom, an empress, a concubine, even a demon lord, and she always pulls it off. Watching her grieve in the legend of shen li right now and I am just so impressed by her range.
Did I miss something, or did the Shen siblings dad just disappear? I know he was never onscreen and was sick, but I dont remeber them saying he died. He was just never mentioned again? Or did he die and I missed it?
I have watched quite a few Xu Lu's drama and only 1 Liu Xie Ning drama, but over here, Liu Xie Ning definitely…
I also thought Liu Xie Ning did well, though I might be biased as a Bon Bon fan. But I also enjoyed Xu Lus portrayal too. The drama did fall off at the end but I cant help watching everything Miles Wei does. You're right that Jun Jiu Ling was definitely better. The plot in Lady Revenger had so many holes. Her revenge didnt feel satisfying in the end for some reason.
Notice quite alot of comments asking for the letter's content from the fortune teller at the very end, since they…
Thank you so much for the translation! That was going to bug me forever. And the contents could have been much worse lol. I can deal with vague threats/warnings.
I finished and it was HORRIBLE later episodes. 📉📉They turned ML into a man I cannot even find attractive…
I found it especially annoying how fairly early on in the drama, the FL even tells herself to distance herself from SML to clarify their relationship and not lead him on after he semi confessed at dinner, but then he says hes joking so she goes right back to business as usual, letting him help her with everything!! Like really? Why even mention it and give us hope that shes going to draw lines with SML jist to immediately undo it!! Plus it shows that she knows better and does it anyway!! Grrr! By the end I was def just here for the chemistry of ML/FL. That office kiss scene is the best one to make it through censors in awhile lol.
Actually, Z.Tao did not write the script, so the sob story part is not for him to take blame. I think he did well…
Lol I know he didnt write the script I just meant that I kept watching it because of Tao. I was more joking than blaming him. I also agree all hairdos of his are nice, but his blonde poof is his most iconic. I liked this drama but sad pet stories are the easiest way to make me cry. Thanks for all the info.
I watched this drama mainly for Ztao and cute pets. Neither of them disappointed in the cuteness department. My only gripe is why ztao has to emotionally torture us with so many sad storylines!!! I was expected more cute and fluffy and less crying hysterical because a blind marathon runners dog has cancer. Thank god Carlo made it through okay. I couldnt have handled that. Also to all the people saying taos hair is bad...Im confused. Ive been a ztao fan for like 6 years and it always looks like that or like that but blonde? It was maybe a tad bit bigger in this drama but seriously tao always has fluffy hair, doesnt he? Ive even seen a variety show where he had just woken up and it was just like that. I think it looks good on him. But what doesnt? Lol.
I'm on ep 14 and upto now it's really good so if the sfl is going to do some annoying stuff please tell me and…
I literally watched this because I read it had a great ending and it totally delivered. Im so over abrupt happy endings. They should make this industry standard lol. Great drama. Also loved xu kais ponytail.
There is a girl obsessed with ml but only because she wants to kill him not date him. Nobody has that "I must be with this person even though they dont like me at all costs" vibe, except the girl who wants to kill the ml but its for some random guy only she cares about. The 2nd ml and the ml jealous scenes are more cute/funny than angsty.
I really didnt expect the last two episodes to add yet another threat after everything seemed resolved. Apparently that empress title really goes to the head lol. But I liked this drama even if it was crazy. Ban Hua and Rong Xia were great. And I especially enjoyed minister xie and minister bans nonstop arguing. Reminded me of the old dudes from the muppets.
My two main takeaways from this drama: 1. Miles Wei plays the best boyfriend characters. He has that seems cold but is actually just shy/awkward ceo with a heart of gold thing down pat. But I dont get sick of watching him do it somehow. 2. The proposal scene wins for one of the most over the top drama proposals. I LOLed at the lit up park/hot air balloon/fireworks/drone combo. That proposal had everything but the kitchen sink!!! Still overall a perfectly enjoyable fluffy drama.
