Thank you very much for your reply. But as a religious person, I'm uncomfortable watching dramas where God is portrayed or people are called God. Again, thank you for taking the time to write a comment.

They need to stop giving CEO roles to baby-faced actors in their early 20s. It's not believable.

If TVING is only available in Korea, why bother with subtitles?... And not making a kdrama available to watch globally at this day and age...
On Someday or One Day Jan 20, 2022
To this day, there hasn't even been a drama that I've given 10 other than Someday or One Day and that has risen to Its level. And I'm still waiting and searching.
Can y'all recommend me dramas with a similar theme or that give a similar feeling of surprise/mind-blowing?

Thank you for explaining 🌸 But Deok Im had told her friend that she doesn't care what others think as long as she and her loved ones know the truth. She didn't care about public appearance and titles anyway. I don't understand why she can't accept the idea of being with her loved one and starting a family when one position is not better than the other. And before she met the Prince, she had been fondly sitting in the library all her life, reading and writing. All of a sudden, sitting alone in the room and not doing chores started to feel like a prison. Anyways, funeral part is pretty sad tho.

Would you rather be a concubine or a court lady?
An ordinary concubine? No, thank u. A concubine like Deok Mi? Hell yes. The King was head over heels in love with her. He didn't mind her spending time with her friends. And did she really think that if she wanted something, he wouldn't be able to fulfill it by expanding the rules? Yi San himself is walking around the village in public appearance. She could go out as she wanted with her friends, under guard. The King stood against the royals for her many times.

Ok, I get the idea and philosophy in behind whatever. But personally, while watching as a viewer, I wasn't convinced. I didn't feel her love -unlike Yi San- even during their lovey-doney scenes and my only thought was she's just pretending. That's why I was annoyed. What will change if hundred people come and say yes, she loved him, while I didn't believe the words of love coming out of the character's mouth?
Anyway, thanks for responding and sharing your perspective 🌸🌸

Yi San has a queen? I didn't even notice. Wasn't the Queen Dowager the only Queen in the series? And I thought…
That's ridiculous. There were a great number of girls and they -even the Queen- always wear the same clothes anyway.
Thank you for explaining 🌸🌸

First of all, no explanation can fix the feeling of emptiness and dissatisfaction I experienced while watching the drama. I don't watch a drama for these feelings, so it's perfectly normal to criticize. Second of all, Yi San has the title, he has the throne. He could've given up on these. What did Deok Im have to give up? Chores and weekends off? Yeah, It would be a very fair trade. Yi San has big goals, he wants to take over the government that he is not satisfied with, he wants to become a better King. Deok Im didn't know about this? If she wasn't protecting the man she helped ascend to the throne because she appreciated his visions and goals, why was she protecting him?And of course every woman has the right to choose. No one has to repay the love they receive. And everyone has the freedom to leave their relationship. Then there is no relationship. What's the point of making a romantic drama about it? Why do I have to watch a half-hearted woman? "But Yi San’s love for Sung Deok Im is true, and she starts to understand that forming a union with him could ultimately benefit his troubled realm." If they're giving me this information, then they can't present me a woman who dissatisfied with their union. Finally, my only problem is that Deok Im's love, who has ALREADY decided to STAY, is completely insincere anyway.

I noticed some people bothered by the fact that Yi San has a queen and concubines. I think we need to give him…
Yi San has a queen? I didn't even notice. Wasn't the Queen Dowager the only Queen in the series? And I thought she was the wife of his deceased grandfather king. She kept saying, as his grandmother or something. I don't understand.

Where was the love exactly? I watch this drama for romance and love as promised. I'm even okay with a tragic separation in the end, as long as they embraced each other with unbreakable love throughout their time together. But I'm not in the slightest convinced that Deok Im loves San. I'm pretty sure she loves her friends more than him. The way her smiling face fell when San left and her crying when she was alone... Ugh! All I thought was that the whole time she was pretending to love him to fulfill her duty to the King. I respect that she feels like a prisoner in the palace as a concubine. But why do I have to watch this reluctant person in a romance drama? This isn't romantic at all. Instead of feeling their love, their desperation brought by impossibilities throughout the drama, I felt bad for the King. Remove the romance tag and let me watch a story of a simple maid who stand behind the Crown Prince loyally and enthrone him, as friendly or motherly. But not this. The only thing I like about the drama is Jun Ho. He was absolutely amazing. I felt his love, his despair, all of his emotions. He deserved better and I wish he was happy.

I thought the director wanted to work with a new face for the lead. I like Jin Ah's acting anyway. And I wonder about her chemistry with Kyungsoo.

Why everybody want to make remake of someday or one day? The original already perfect, no need any remake. Just…
Because the TV series are made for the general audience of the countries. Not for the international internet audience. For the cable television audience, the adaptations of other countries that they are not aware of are quite new and fresh. In this case for Korea. As I was writing, I remembered that Someday or One Day was also aired in China. I guess that's why they follow a different direction than the original. But now that I think about it, I wonder how it will be aired after the recent censorships.

You've got a point, but this drama will be made for Korean audience. The producers don't think about the international kdrama audience who're watching serials from illegal sites. So it will be a good experience for Koreans who don't know the original.

Title Want to See You Spoiler
How could this historical remake treat the plot of the original? The plot is that all the incidents happened in very short time space and that their past selves grew up and be there at the same time with them. From the visual, it looks like it will take place in dynastic time. That means there're at least 100 years between the present and the past. In this case, how can the naturally growing versions of the characters be together in the present day? How will it be different from all other time travel themed historical series?
I don't like how she act like innocent and clueless towards to the male lead. She experienced the same things with a guy in the first episode. After their first meeting with that guy, she responded to his actions with a constant smile and giggle. But when the male lead did the same things, she started to behave so naive as if she couldn't understand the man's sincere behavior.

And I hate all the "Huh? What?" lines of the female lead. You've been hearing all the conversations until then. Why do you suddenly become deaf or make him repeat what he say as if you can't believe it when the male lead says something nice?
