Plot? What plot? I'm watching for Johan's smile. Used to watch for Hill's voice but too much of a good thing is bad and they've dragged the HillTer thing so much it's become boring.

But JohanNorth? Cannot get enough of them. North is so uncomplicated and perfect for Johan. Plus he's kinda bad with money management and Johan's bringing sugar daddy energy. I love the dynamic so much. Did I say how hot Johan is?

Yeah. The whole writing of that bit was kinda meh.

The whole Nurse On thing could have been better handled (police won't allow a civilian get involved in the investigation of a murder suspect). That aside, a 10/10 episode. That morning-after scene was so cute and wholesome. Gave me enough butterflies to fill a bucket. Plus I'm a fan of knowing who the bad guy is early on in a drama 'cos it means the writers are about to write their asses off.

Was watching Bae Doona on a different show and she talked about how she prefers less makeup while acting but wears full face for variety shows or when modelling. It reminded me of this MDL article and some of the nasty ass comments I read when it was posted.

There is nothing she said in the interview this article quoted that warrants some of these replies. You people want to be mad about everything and find the most extreme negative stance on celebs' lives. It's fucking sad.

As someone watching the drama, it is annoying when Babe shows up to interfere. But you can also see that Rak is very dependent on her and they have that kind of relationship. You don't see Rak getting mad at her for interfering. Also this is supposed to be a fake relationship. Can't blame her for wanting to make sure they don't cross boundaries. I'm sure when she realises they're both in love, she'll step back.

Does it matter what exactly he is thought? It's a Joseon era drama. No body had time to be analysing and naming how they were different. Too busy trying to survive. Also "I cannot lie with women" for that time basically screams gay.

It's because of the saving the children plotline. But this one has a different element to it.

I actually think the rating is honest and truly reflects the show. Everyone knows when a show's ratings are high either because of ship fandom or the actors' popularity (there's a place for that as well). I find that good quality BLs with substance mostly fall in the 7.8 to 8.3 range as long as there's no rate bombing.

omg yes. I was just thinking the same thing. He has some experience with being a theatre director, I think. It's wild that this is his first drama and it's so good.

The third act had me bawling and I am not a crier. Such a heartwarming movie.

A no-angst mostly feel-good drama. Loved it.

I'm loving this drama a lot. I enjoy their immature antics around each other. I think part of it is that their relationship never got to progress beyond childhood/teenage bickering. That's pretty much how they know how to deal with each other. But see how they both behave with the 2FL even though they're all childhood friends?

Plus the synopsis practically says "the 'Mad Dog' inside her that had been quietly sleeping begins to emerge again when she reunites with Seok Ji Won".

Yeah. But the payoff might not come until the last ep.

If you dislike it four eps in, I don't think it'll get better for you. The storytelling is not linear or tidy. The lack of "structure" is deliberate. They didn't just slap a bunch of scenes together randomly.
