The show has become a lot more popular so that anonymity that kinda influenced the intimacy you're talking about is gone especially in a place like Iceland with a lot of Asian tourists and Icelanders who are familiar with Korean pop culture.

I always assumed the local authority at least knew what was going on. The girl with the picture was an Icelander (if I remember correctly).

Maybe I'm reacting because it's a matter of time before fingers turn to the prod. team and I'd hate to see that. I'm a huge fan of the Egg is Coming team.

That's why I added "who are familiar with the cast". A lot of the tourists in Mexico didn't know how famous they actually are.

One thing to have an opinion, another thing to try to tank the ratings of a show. It's not a new concept on MDL so calling them haters is very justified.

ps: unsure why but japanese shows tend to get rated lower no matter their quality.

Saw all the comments about a leak and thought it weird because Na PD runs a tight ship. If there's one thing his team can do, it's keep a secret. Finding out the "leak" is information about the restaurant being shared after the restaurant opened and I'm here wondering how they were supposed to keep it a secret when it's practically there for everyone to see. Especially in a town with a shit ton of tourists who are familiar with the cast.

But that's not a leak if it aired on the news after the restaurant opened. The first Korean restaurant in Iceland is newsworthy and being run by celebs at that. There's no keeping it secret after the restaurant opens.

But the show is about them running a restaurant. And dealing with whatever comes with it. That's the entire concept. PD Na already has shows that have the cast travelling in Iceland.

Such a tender film.

This is going to get better with each episode. The two male leads are at extremes - one too trusting and naive and the other too cynical. Their character development will likely have them rubbing off on each other slowly. So far Sin Cha Il has been right in all his deductions but I'm certain a future episode will see someone getting hurt because of him.

His character is supposed to be innocent and sheltered. You think the directors would have used him in both dramas if he wasn't doing exactly what they wanted the character to do? Try separating the actor from the character and direct your hate appropriately.

Maybe you should re-read your original comment and the specific sentence I was responding to. That said, I hear you about the botched surgery look and agree with most of what's in this new comment.

LMAO. Your bias is jumping out. "Wrong partners" because he's pretty. While his acting has improved a lot after this show, Cha Eun-woo's acting was very basic here and if you're being objective the FL did a better job. But you won't be objective because she's not beautiful enough for you. That's why you don't like her.

You must really have a low opinion of Koreans.

Fact is that Korea is an appearance-based society. It's bigger than the government or celebrities. Where you went to school, work, how you look, how you're dressed,, your hair and make-up, your accent, everything comes under scrutiny. This drama simply reflects that reality.

Enjoyed the first ep a lot. No wasted scene. No complaint whatsoever.

There are so many silly things in the plot that have me rolling my eyes but the second Yak and Dee are in the same frame I forget all the issues. They just look so good together onscreen. They're saving this show for me—them and Cher. And Oye's pretty eyes. And Klao just being the best friend ever.

There's a plot (and sub-plots) that's progressing and actors who can act. I'm loving this so much.

A theory. Sounded certain in your initial comment I wondered if there was an uncut version of the drama somewhere. A theory. Lol.

The cute is running out pretty fast. Glad there's only one episode left so I don't lose what liking of the show I have left. Also, aren't Chain and Pun supposed to be a couple?

edit: there's three episodes left. hopefully that's for Chain and Pun 'cos Peem-Phum have used up whatever weird conflict the writers can dream up. hopefully.
