Yi-chan said everything I said (on another platform) a few episodes back in response to someone making excuses for the dad. Intentions be damned. You leave the care of your child to someone who makes her cry because you want her to fit your version of normal. He wants her to smile at him? Fuck him. So he noticed she was withdrawn and unhappy. Wow. Father of the Year. 12 bloody years of abuse. I'm mad all over again.
Next two episodes are going to be heavy af but I trust the writers will give us a clear happy ending.
Lost some of its colour for me after Zong Yi went to jail and some of the plot choices had me rolling my eyes but still a solid BL. Chen Yi and Ai Di being thoroughly whipped for each other was the highlight of ep 13 for me. They're so cute. Looking forward to the next BL from the same writer. She's done some pretty impressive work.
Replacing her meds with candy was such an ick moment for me. I could overlook all that talk about being a replacement for her meds but switching them with candy? I don't know what the writer was thinking because that is light-years away from romantic.
Grandma was the MVP this episode. "I lied." Looooool. Love her sm.
Their youth really twinkled in this episode. Yi-chan's confession, Cheong-ah's acceptance, all the kids together... so heartwarming.
For someone who has failed the exam four times he sure acts like a peacock.
I really like how Hyo-shim is not a doormat and does not make excuses for her family's behaviour. Imagine having been treated this way almost all your life. My guess is that she was also her father's favourite and her mother has made her feel guilty/responsible in some way for her father's leaving so she feels a need to make up for it somehow. That she even stands up for herself is a miracle considering in these kind of dynamics, the child ends up becoming an adult without any self-esteem. Can't wait for her breaking point so she dumps those grifters.
As much as Tae-min is my point-of-hate character, the man is fine fine in formal wear. That said, watching him act all jealous made me barf a little from embarrasment. Glad Tae-ho was ready with a sliding tackle answer. He's so cute.
That bastard. Urgh. Deliberately sabotaging her. I guess Eun Mo-rae will make her appearance soon. I hope not but I'm pretty sure they'll make her a bitchy character.
Stopped at ep 9. Picked up again at 2x speed and made it to ep 12 2/4.
The first couple episodes had something but it devolved into a mess of blandness for me. It didn't suck. It just left me cold, indifferent. And tbh that's worse because if I hated it at least it elicited some kind of emotion.
I'll like to see Papang in a main role in something. His character felt the most natural like he didn't have to try too hard.
Deserves its own comment.
