This was so good. Slow-burn vengeance? Yes, please. Love the fact that the writers didn't depend on lazy tropes and plot devices to drive the story. Dong Eun most likely won't deliver revenge directly. She's set the wheels in motion and going to watch it all burn, with a willingness to throw herself into the fire if necessary. I won't be surprised if she dies in Part 2.
Also, where is this romance everyone is up in arms about? Dong Eun needs allies and that's where Yeo Jung comes in. His liking her gives him the motive to be on her side. But that's not all. In helping her, he's also fighting his own demons.
I liked the cinematography in the head-on-the-shoulder scene, but it really exposed that they were wearing enough…
Drama incoming the next episode but I don't think it'll ruin the simplicity of the plot. The kiss scene was A+. That "What can I do to get closer to you" was driven by pure lust. Loved it.
A light watch. Had its funny moments. I like how the characters balanced each other. The chemistry isn't the strongest I've seen in a friendship drama but they pulled it off. Joseph's mum is the best babe. Loved how supportive she was.
My only peeve was that the bratty celeb didn't get any kind of a slap on the wrist. Totally unlikeable character.
They definitely owing more than they paid. The rush to shut him up with money? Nah. Glad he's still suing. They should open their damn books and I hope other artists they manage also ask to see the books too.
If this show is overrated then Alice in Borderland is also overrated and that's just not true for either. The only similarity the shows have is the games. Completely different dynamics.
I'm saying this as someone who avoided both shows for a long time and is only watching this now, right after watching Alice in Borderland. And tbh, both shows deserve their hype. They're very well done.
I loved this show. Every episode had a different story with someone new. I liked that we didn't get too close…
I think not watching the original version is vital to enjoying this one (I'll never understand watching different country versions of the same show). I hope they make another season.
So sad I might have to pass on this. Thought it'd be fantasy/sci-fi with two of my fave actors but the horror bit freaks me out a little. Let me see what ep 1 says first.
So glad I started this. Maybe because I never saw the original so this feels very fresh to me. It's entertaining without being too heavy and I like seeing the actors they "represent" acting as themselves. No super villains plus, everyone is grown so the characters are very much to my taste.
I watched the first 8 eps and been waiting to pick it back up. Well, I got caught up to Ep12. Forget the flippin'…
Lol. Came here to make this comment. The leads better not end up together. Not usually a fan of redemption arcs but they're doing a good job with the chef.

(Edit: I meant this comment to be sarcastic.)
