The only good thing about episode 10 is that Gwang Nam received extended screen time.I liked that Kang Hae Jin…
"I'd bet 20$ that GN would have no problem with SE mentioning his sexuality in that scenario (as I said it fits with the context of GN deciding to be more liberated)." No.
The writers got that part right. It is never okay to out another person unless you have their express consent (like Kang Hae Jin did before telling his manager). Plus GN decided to come out at work, I guess based on what happened at his last job. That doesn't mean his closest friend had a right to use his sexuality as a reason for having a male roommate.
Also, Choi Sang Eun saying GN was more like a woman as a roommate had less to do with his sexuality and more to do with putting Ji Ho's mind at rest about the nature of their relationship. The way they'd often say in k-dramas "I don't see him as a man." Something like that.
I'm curious about something. if any Thai speaker can help. When Sky asked, "Are you going to jump me?" was that what he actually said? English translations can be limited and I feel like there's some nuance we're missing.
Came upon this by chance on YT and the first episode was entertaining. The first thing I established, this has a het couple in the lead and maybe side couples that are gay.
Me suspects this show is being review-bombed and that's just sad because the actors delivered and it's funny enough that I want to watch the next episode and see how things develop. The FL is on the annoying side but it's bearable and hopefully her character improves with time.
naive? when she figured it out when he was leaving about everything and why he was leaving.
I mostly agree with you, to be honest.
But hear me out. I think you're projecting your frustration at "negative" comments about the character here. All I did was point out a single trait but you're going way out of scope to address things I didn't say or imply.
Can't remember why I stopped watching this at ep 10 but I came to it and finished it. The subject matter was handled with such sensitivity and the actors delivered on their roles. Heart-warming stories, funny moments, and the bad guys get their just due. Plus the end was beautifully tied together. Great drama.
Damn. The tone shift just gave me whiplash. Not sure I want to deal with something heavy but it's Namkoong Min. Also 80% certain at this point that the role was written with him in mind.
Maybe I'm old is why I understand the FL. She wanted to be married and have a family. And the truth is that she and SML were in love and really good together before the breakup so it totally makes sense that she'd get back to him. Maybe the anger at her is that she gave in too quickly. But what's the point of dragging things out when she wants to be married to someone who gives her ease? And here's this guy her parents approve of, and she still likes, who wants to be married to her.
Pride is not saying no to her ex. That's ego. Pride is calling off the wedding.
Can't wait for ep 5 so I know what exactly to curse the SML out for.

No, bitch. You're not.

Eps 5 and 6 were good. Like how the plot is progressing. Guess we'll see some jealousy next ep.

Hope we get some angst next episode.
