I agree on that one. I think some come into certain genre of shows for their career jolt and a stepping stone but have no thoughts to hold in that pattern which is fine but most viewers can 'feel' emotional connections in the shows they watch and when that isn't there in a romance, ick, it just fizzles an otherwise great story ya know. Great, Inn, Aou, Boom, just wonderful. Love them all. But I can hardly watch these period series where my anxiety is thru the roof watching how Grandma and Dech's father are taking control over them. Breaks my heart. Hard for me to watch this but I am loving it. I am truly anxious over the ending of this story. Don't make me too sad please!!

I like it, don't get me wrong, I like the actors and the sides etc and production is nice etc. but honestly it is SO slow, especially for mature men. Mature working men who are definitely of age and this is moving along like a high school first date to the prom angst kinda thing. I wish the maturity came into this series, it didn't at all for me. Sadly lacking a true take on mature independent people dating in the workplace. Script writers missed the whole mature theme of this and sadly made it 'wholesome' but that is what is ruining this mature relationship content. This seems very kiddie to me but again, I'm watching it (but all the time secretly making a million changes to the script to improve it) heehee

flat beige, that truly is a good way to describe this. there is none of that evil angsty something to sink your teeth into that the manga had in its' characters. yea flat beige sums it up, I like that

yea good thoughts on it. I too am wondering how the 'young master comes out' to be 'known' in a hardcore way and will 'grandpa' even realize it even tho he has that inkling he ain't there yet. I sure wonder about the real grandson tho? What path for him? He's still in it and irked but I also think that 'I wanna be a girl' thing was all for Hai Yauns benefit cause he doesn't know how to reach him in what context to make himself be seen so ? If he is connecting with Grandpa, a man, then he has to be in pain just seeing this interaction or does he know this is reincarn fate? Alot going down still, alot needs to be addressed.

me too. the same as you.....minute I saw the live action I went off and read the manga and the manga was SO engaging that I thought, WOW this live action is gonna be SO over the top and it just was so backward? and it fizzles against the excitement I had on these characters and how live action was gonna take it! I feel cheated for sure LOL Someone dropped the ball here on a really good possible full fledged series, how it got warped is beyond me??

first 2. 3 eps ya think, what the heck? what feels off here maybe? but then (for me) boom it kicks in high gear and becomes very engaging and a story I must watch til the ending. Hope that helps :)

yea, you made a good point that hits with me, I enjoy reincarnation connections but I think also that being in the grandson's body is what kinda puts this a 'tad' off to me also.....but like you if I just think 'fantasy reincarnation' series I can get thru it cause the plot is great and the acting is stellar and it is engaging so like you, I am enjoying it too.

Loving it still and so thrilled to see where it goes! Guan Qi Ring has it tough cause he was dumped and likes him but in the preview of ep 10 I think he is gonna 'go bad' and disappoint me to the max, I was hoping the script didn't make him a true villain but we shall see on that. Key is this is reincarnation connection and not 'really real life age gap' so to me this hits all great with reincarnation fantasy series and I am enjoying the heck outta it! Plus visuals on 2 mains is stellar and they have chem. in their acting so it makes this even more enjoyable. But second couple? Hmm. Lil' boy best wake up cause I think it is time for the other to give up and stop the ever constant care and maybe open the other's eyes truly. I feel so much for him getting zero recognition for his love for him and I am tired of the lil' boy using him to this extent, so they need a wake up call for this pairing :) Hope it comes.

for me the first 3 were 'off' then BOOM it gets really good literally, well to me :) so this is a few eps sleeper til it all 'sets' and then the plot is plotting hard and it's great.

yea you're right probably. toxic mom needs fixing and include Grandma and moving in --- with the bit of preview it is about them adjusting to each other in the same apt. I guess that would fill 4 eps. but that seems so damn boring LOL Like bore me more and I'm gonna be the sucker that stands for it :)

Grinning big from your funny comments here :) You got a way with words for sure, lol. Love it. I agree tho it has ruined it for me too cause once that momentum is trashed it is hard to even want to see the next episode truly and you lose any connection to bother even wanting to finish the series. But I think what is holding me a bit is that with ''4 more episodes'' what in heavens name could they be putting in this series because to me it wrapped. Like what else? What could be coming their way in the next 4?? I gotta know. I think I now want to see if some type of a trainwreck is coming full force in the next 4 episodes, and ya know, not usually does a series I get mad about and wanna drop actually is enticing me to watch the next 4 just from the sheer mystery of what it could be about? I hope isn't about his Mom and Grandma being a thorn. Can't be a love rival because they only have eyes for each other so? who knows....I can't think of what else is going to come up? I'm scared to see where they go with this in a way. (Also you said you are gonna not watch and read comments, I am doing that right now with Love at First Spike. I got so annoyed about how that series is playing out and how that girl just lied to her cousin bestie that I almost flipped. I can't take that series, it is me being forced into a humanity lecture of some type that even the characters themselves as they spout tons of reasons to be understanding to others, they themselves are the worst offenders. ugh.) it is so much fun chatting this stuff out :)

ohh I am laughing from your comment, funny and I agree :) You said it, the awkwardness was painful to watch. I also wasn't expecting it, I truly thought the way they had them bonding in school and how much Kanade liked him, I thought there would be 'at least' mini fireworks. We got duds :)

I read the source and it in such a short read (2 main chapters +) and it was more impactful then this drawn out mess. Characters are all wrong!! huh? I was like, wow, how are they gonna make this evil revenge plot happen and was psyched for this, truly excited....but I know they took some liberty here but wow, this is nothing like the read. This is whatever at this point, feel cheated and confused vs the real source to this adaption. I am still watching to see what goes down right now tho. I'm gonna hang in here right now, why? might get better?? IDK

agree, I read the manga also on these characters and while SO short, it was SO impactful and this is SO OFF it's crazy. doesn't even feel like the source was the inspiration at all??? who knows, ugh

No depth I felt here. There was no depth of their connection to me at all. Didn't deliver any big wow moments, like no angst other than run away and no communication, just cruised along boringly and I sure expected way much more. This failed to deliver totally. Such a great start, so promising and a very long dragged out middle to literally lead us to almost nothing. Not for me on this one. Acting good, production was nice, but script killed this for me.

Dropped. I can't get behind this at all. Zero chem. Zero likability of characters. Zero everything for me. Script writers should be embarrassed truly. Actors, ya tried, or did ya? maybe not? IDK, this is all wrong on all levels for me. oh well.............

This. I dropped it also. Nothing works in this series at all from the total beginning and only gets worse very fast. So agree :)

ep 8. ruined the series. the NC scene was so bad it literally took my focus off any type of long term possible passionate bond between these 2 mains. yuk. they screwed the pooch on this and never will rewatch. darn it was so good too to be such a disappointment in the end. almost end, there are 12 eps so we got 4 more of ??? who knows....can they win me back? see what pans out I guess :) ugh
