No one is asking you to come to terms with Khatun. You don't have to. She belongs to the other end of the spectrum…
This is my first encounter of Yanli's character. Nice to have it too. Thanks. And I totally agree with what you said about Khatun being lonely, I pondered upon it and wrote about it again. It's very hard to be at her position. What would we have doin at her position? Maybe we couldn't have let go of that hate either.

You made me feel for Khatun through your last lines. She was the loneliest person in the drama ig. I don't know what would I have done in her place, would I have been able to let go of that hatred? Her life was miserable with or without her being evil.
Okay so every "evil" character has somehow managed to redeemed themselves or at least had me understand why they…
No one is asking you to come to terms with Khatun. You don't have to. She belongs to the other end of the spectrum character wise. Every character cannot be redeemable. We felt a pity for her in the beginning, she has lived a miserable life, a tragic one but she chose to be evil. She chose to do what she did. Nothing shook her. She was right in her own eyes. She saw nothing wrong in the her ways. She even shift the blame to Sher, that it was for him and his future. But her motives have always been Sui Dynasty.
Changge and Khatun are kind of mirror images. They both were robbed of their status, thrown into abyss, hatred in their hearts.... But They both turned out to be different. Khatun never let go of that hate in her heart but Changge did. She saw what's the best for the people, she understood it. In the last scene where they both are inside the palace, their conversation is reflection of it. The fire of hatred engulfed Khatun but Changge was saved bcoz she had people by then to be by her side and she has long been out of that cage of hatred. That fire would have never reached to Changge. Changge was ought to be safe and sound in the last scene.
