I love your review!! I've been waiting for over a year to find this drama and just found it on Viki in the United States! I am only on Episode 2 but I can already tell I am going to love this drama. I just hope I do not ignore my real life too much to watch this, lol.
I love your review and profile picture! :D I am only on Episode 2 and appreciate the advice to savor every moment and pay attention, similar to Stranger(Korean drama) which also had a magnificent script.
I love your review and am already in love with the drama and I'm only on Episode 2. I 've been waiting for this drama to make it to a legal site and just found it on Viki. I'm reading all the spoiler free reviews & reading your review is making me excited to continue watching & I am looking forward to exploring this adventure for the first time which of course those feelings will never come again in a rewatch. I am savoring every moment.
Let's just push all the shipping wars aside. Its essentially Dal Mi's choice to make in the end. & I honestly…
I agree! Kim Seon Ho is an amazing actor, he brings the subtleties to his acting that a lot of actors are not capable of. I loved him in 100 Days My Prince which was a supporting role and now he is second lead, killing it in this high profile Netflix drama. I hope this brings him many quality drama opportunities, and in the next drama he gets the girl!
So now that the truth is out in the open, each of the guy's advantage or disadvantage is now levelled. Jipyeong…
My heart goes to Han Jipyeong, he has a good heart with feelings that he has kept locked up due to growing up alone without a family and affection until he met Grandma. His letters represent I think both Grandma and him. Sometimes he allowed himself to open up in those letters otherwise I don't think Dalmi would have been this involved in the pen pal friendship, it was a correspondence that flowed both ways, Han Jipyeong not even aware himself until later what it meant to him because he did not have the emotional awareness. I may be romanticizing their pen pal relationship, I think the writer is being very effective in depicting each the three characters in the triangle. I hope his story arc will bring us closure of a hopeful future of happiness for him, not a hurried wrap-up with the main focus and time spent on the happy ending of the two leads.
There is a way. You'll need one chia seed, one turtle, a horse costume and a dead plant. You'll also need access…
haha, haha, hahahahaha. Haha.haha I'm laughing now but not looking forward to the SL suffering and me suffering along with him and with EP 7, any shred of hope I had is gone. Kim Seon Ho's character is fighting his attraction and avoiding her& just starting to acknowledge it, whereas Nam Joo Hyuk knew from Day One and has spent all his time that he could with her and has pretty much won her heart now. I have grown to love his character's sensitivity and his depth of feelings. But I will be loyal to first love and a first episode successfully capturing my heart for the SL. This screenwriter is amazing at character development, I looked up her writing credits...her resume confirms her talent (unlike side note: the disappointment of the writing in Record of Youth)
I love Good Chinese dramas so happy to have found you. There are so many of them coming out all the time, hard to figure which ones are worth watching. And I am getting more picky on quality in my third year of drama watching. Must be a huge film industry in China. I am on Episode 57 and saw your review of Promise of Chang'an which you gave a higher review of 10. And I would love to watch it for Cheng Yi for whom I am now a devoted fan. Is it worth watching for the angst and what I think I already read he is not getting a happy ever after romantic ending? His acting is amazing and his face now is so beautiful to me. I guess I can go back and rewatch L&R after for the happy feels.
I am on Episode 57 but I am starting to read the spoiler reviews so l can prolong the end and to share in the joy of this drama with other viewers. Thank you so much for your wonderful, you capture in words all my feelings and love for this drama!
The 1st episode!!! Woahh what a start! ! !Let me start by saying how happy I was to see my favourite 'child' actor…
Agree with. you both! I am already feeling bad for Kim Seon Ho. He has a hard cold exterior because he never had any love in his life being an orphan but we already see his heart underneath in his devotion to grandma. And that bus station scene with Nam Da Reum, writer is killing me with the development of his character in Episode 1. I was like Nam Joo Hyuk we don't need you to show up. I loved Klm Seon Ho in 100 Days My Prince too. We are going to need to start a Second Lead support group.
I love the relationship between the grandma and Han Ji Pyung, its the best one! A lot of people are saying after…
Yes I agree with both! HJP is creating a false image of NDS for SDM - through the letters & letting him use his office & car (preview). What happens when she finds out HJP is the real pen pal? I so wish HJP was ML & not the SML. I'm going to have serious second lead syndrome . I so wish HJP made it to her first at the network meeting.
