On I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK Jan 15, 2017
I'm not sure what I just watched so I don't even know how to properly rate this. It just felt like a lot of random things were happening. Lol it was so weird.

For people who care, there is a very proper kiss in this movie.

Sweet Lord this show took me the longest to complete since starting my k-drama journey. There were so many times I wanted to drop it, but I had invested so much time already that I just persisted. I'm not gonna go into a full review, but I will say that I have never watched a show that romanticized cheating the way this show did. If that wasn't enough, it took 12 episodes for me to even begin to like Mi Rae. Even once I did like her the moments were fleeting for me. The main guy was a jerk majority of the time and the supporting guy wore his ass as a hat for practically the entire show.

I did immensely enjoy Joo Hwa though. She was so entertaining to watch and definitely deserved better than her asshat husband.

4/10 for me.

So in love with Yoo In Na. Can not wait for this show to delve more into her character. I already know that Sunny and the angel of death are gonna have crazy ridiculous chemistry! Totally different from the Eun Tak/Goblin chemistry, which isn't as in your face, but there's something there. Thank God I don't have to deal with love triangles. Two separate relationships that I can get behind. Although truthfully this show doesn't even need romantic relationships because it's just that awesome.

Brute (yes, I am aware that this is a gangster movie, but if all you're giving me is force and nothing behind it, keep it), boring, and predictable. This was a two hour movie, but nothing felt fleshed out so it was extremely hard to connect with any one character. Just meh all around.

I don't think I have ever yelled or cursed at my screen the way I did watching this show. It was definitely a rollercoaster.

I felt the plot wasn't well thought out. The characters weren't fleshed out enough so I couldn't care less who was dying. The editing was all over the place that it made sense of time confusing. Perhaps the biggest culprit of all is that it wasn't scary in the slightest, just disguisting. Having said that, Kim Bum has a great smile and Nam Gyumri looked adorable with short hair. 3/10 for me.

The most unlikeable female lead. The most unlikeable male lead...character wise. I feel like I'm watching another Boys Over Flowers and that ain't a good thing. I will not drop this though.

So there was practically no substance to this movie and character development is pretty much nonexistent. I don't fancy watching shows or movies where I can't connect to any one character so this was a nay for me. I will say that this movie was so shot beautifully though. The ground scene in the rain was awesome.

I love a good villain. Unfortunately for me this was what this show was lacking. To me what makes a good villain is not the motive, not the execution in how they do things, but the charm behind it. I have never sided with a villain thus far in my tv watching experience, however I do love to hate a good villain, but the most I could muster up was mild annoyance which did not make for a very fun ride. The thing about mysterious characters that actually makes them interesting isn't actually the mystery behind them, but the intrigue to actually want to find out more. To be honest I was much more interested in some of the side characters than the main villain.

Having said that the acting was overall solid. The details put into this show was amazing and the cinematography was some of the best I've seen thus far in my K-drama journey. There isn't much romance in this show, but you do get a hint of a triangle which was, for the most part, well balanced.

The last scene sequence of the show is what actually boosted my rating of the show, it was pretty kick-ass. Was this scene worth me recommending the whole show? Eh... There are definitely worst ways to spend your time.

8/10 for me (7.5 without that last scene)

This show pissed me off on so many different levels that eventually I started viewing this show as a parody just to get through it. There was so much wrong with this show and its take on relationships that I was disgusted, appalled and offended. Hyerin was such an awesome character at first and then she turned to utter shit. Also the editing of this show irked me. As a editor and Media/Production Design major I couldn't look past it.

On My Lovely Sam Soon Sep 14, 2016
I'm currently on episode 8 and struggling. Maybe it's the humor, but I just find it to be very goofy and verging on slapstick. I don't enjoy that kind of humor. I can totally see the Bridget Jones comparisons, but I found Bridget Jones to be much more charming. And to be honest I don't understand what Sam Soon is finding appealing about Jin Hun. This is the 2nd Hyun Bin drama that I'm having a hard time with (the 1st being Secret Garden). I don't know, maybe the "classics" are just not for me. Especially after watching the mess that was 'Boys Over Flowers'.
