Season two

The second season has lost two team members and added two. The cases are a lot more personal to them than season 1. I liked this aspect of the new season. What I did not like as much was the juvenile behavior of the male team members and the extended time spent with the puns. For me, this silliness was a distraction from the seriousness of the cases. That was probably the point to lighten the mood, but it was too much like 12 year olds’ sense of humor from grown men. I think they were trying to appeal to a younger audience and that part fell very flat for me. That being said, I still enjoyed watching the series. The team worked well together and they continued to mesh quirky traits to find that 0.1% truth factor. What I liked is they spent time showing how wrong judgments impacted the families and them personally. They showed how power can be misused and the work required to correct it. They were all challenged to do better and to make the system better and this, by far, outweighed the silliness factor I was not as enthused with. Humor is subjective, and I may be an exception to the rule about not receiving it well. The drama is worth the watch if this genre appeals and is a good extension from season 1.
