I have only one question. Make or break do I watch this show. Does Luo Yun Xi's character die? Cause that seems to happen a lot. Don't get me wrong he acts it well, I just am tired of seeing him die.

I think it just was bad timing. They used to allow Koreans in Chinese shows - in fact JCW was in Whirlwind Girl 2 just a couple of years prior But they dubbed his voice. Maybe the rules will change again. Maybe not.

JCW usually does quite consensual scenes with amazing passionate kisses. This is a new perspective for him. Same actor different scenario, hence the comparison. He nailed the nuance perfectly, as usual. Good to see him keep getting different roles, not just straight up romance or action. Everyone wants to pigeonhole him, but you can't.

I hated his character in Empress Ki, from the very beginning to the end.
I hated the character as well. How people can say the emperor was adorable I won't understand. He had NO talents beyond blind adoration of the heroine, the heroine could do EVERYTHING better than him including governing. All he had is JCW's good looks. But I absolutely love him as an actor and singer. He is so incredibly talented. It was hard to see him in Empress Ki though.
