I actually didn't mind the time jump at all. It's like: stuff has happened sometime between season 1 and 2, and…
What Erin said. I believe they saw each other by accident at work, it wasn't planned, and it was still before the 5 year deal ended. So even though Shi De couldn't really stop coming to work, seeing as it was his family business and he was in charge, he technically still owed it to Shu Yi's father to keep the deal.
We get it Jin, you don't know if you like him. You repeated it like 10 times in the last episode alone. I understood the 1st time you said it. Now please move on..

The explanation to why Shi De couldn't tell Shu Yi what happened lies (supposedly) in the promise he had made with Shu Yi's father. Yes, I also *love* it when a "promise" of this kind is made to explain the plot (not! I mean who MAKES such promises irl????), but if you really follow Shi De's logic, it does make some sense. He wanted to be honorable or whatever.... And of course there was a need for some misunderstandings/lack of communication before reconciling. Imagine your boyfriend just vanishes for 5 years (no calls, messages, good byes, explanation, nothing) and suddenly reappears like nothing has ever happened. Lol, I'd ignore him too. It wouldn't have been one bit believable if Shu Yi hadn't done it. I guess the whole plot of this season revolved around the "mystery" of Shi De's disappearance.
There is one thing I don't understand about this drama... when did Prab and Chol "confessed" to each other or…
The confession was filmed, but cut out from the official version of the show. Yes, I know, it makes no sense. Beats me, why they did that. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJMxMc5zlE0
If you turn a blind eye to how low-budget it is, it's actually a cute story. It's refreshing to see a drama where everything happens right off the bat, hahaha. Nobody's moping around waiting for that confession. But yeah, it is EXTREMELY low-budget. Looks like a college assignment more than an actual tv series.
People talk about how toxic the main couple of this show is, and yeah, I agree to a. extent. But really, IDC. It's still one of my favs.
HOWEVER! Instead, can we talk about something really DISTURBING? So a dude pays other blokes to gang rape an underaged boy, a ton of people find out and everybody is more or less just like whatevaaaa. One of the MCs' reaction is actually like "I'm gonna change schools, because it's my fault"...because his ex-friend paid others to gang rape an innocent teenager out of jealousy??? I fail to see the logic in that. Eventually, the perpetrator decides to drop out of school himself and it seems like it's actually a universally accepted solution. Hello? Dude should be rotting in jail! Instead we see a long-ass scene in which his sister cheers him up. Excuse me, but what. the. flying. fk??? Are we now supposed to be sorry for him? But it gets better. Couple years later we can see a brother of one of the MCs happily chatting with him and again, he's CHEERING HIM UP and calling him a "brother he could never hate". LMAO. This storyline cracks me up. Not to mention that Type claims to know the rapists and they are never brought to justice, because...why would this show's characters bother doing anything about them, right? XDDD
That's the real issue with this show. Not some homophobic dipsh!t with anger issues or his bf with not-absolutely-consensual approach.
I'm not sure im impressed. Binged through both S1 and S2 in a night... typical enemies to lovers trope which is…
I actually didn't mind the time jump at all. It's like: stuff has happened sometime between season 1 and 2, and let's not waste several eps on living through the main CP not being able to communicate well or at all (which many shows do and it's freaking tiring), let's just move directly to problem-solving, which is what they do. I prefer to focus on taking action, instead of going through useless drama.
Actually, I know several people who started with this series as their first BL and loved it, but you have to be…
Awesome:) Best proof that when it comes to movies, tv and books you should never base your opinion on the opinion of others. Best try it first for yourself:) You'll def like Lovely Writer, too. Enjoy!
I tried watching the first episode of season 1 before I went on with season 2, but it literally hurt my eyes, it was so badly executed. Would you say it makes sense to watch season 1 at all? It'd be a struggle, but if the show is REALLY worth it I'll try to endure it. I'm hearing the stories might not be connected at all? Maybe skipping straight to season 2 is a better idea?
I saw the reviews and I was like "great, when the show was over people pointed out all the toxic and bad sides"…
Quite honestly, the comment section is way worse than the show itself. Yes, the series portrays some nonconsensual behavior and traumatic memories, but honestly, it's still one of the best BLs out there, if you're into them.
I would say, don't base your own opinion on opinions of others. If I had done that I would've never seen it, and despite all of the backlash it is getting (which I agree with, to a certain extent), it's still easily one of my favorites. Watch the show and decide for yourself, because the actors did a great job, their chemistry is off the charts, and for the most part it's a cute story.
Idk I understand that TONS of people didn’t like this but there’s something about the leads that I’ve seen…
Actually, I know several people who started with this series as their first BL and loved it, but you have to be warned it contains some not fully consensual scenes and drastic backstories, and is also one of the most smutty BLs out there. So if you're looking for heavy action, this is what heavy currently means for BL (still not half-way where the American teenage shows are, but it's pretty graphic). However, the two main actors have rarely found chemistry, and even if you don't watch this show now, definitely watch it later. Needless to say, I loved it. One of my easy favorites, despite all the "toxic" talk.
For your first BL I would say watch either A tale of Thousand Stars or Lovely Writer (which BTW also has some pretty good kissing scenes, but they are super consensual). They are one of the best BL shows out there, the cast is hot, the actors have great chemistry, both shows are well-made, and show healthy, interesting and well-made love stories with happy endings. Love Writer was also directed by the same director as TharnType, but it seems that he has learned his lesson from TharnType criticism.
I loved Pi from the start and I love him even more now! He's bold, stubborn, and doesn't let anyone explain and…
Yeah, I agree to an extent. Mork pushes Pi too much. Like boy, give him some space, because your behavior is verging on harassment. I like that Pi is able to hold his own, but on the other hand this is a tv series, and it's starting to take too much of the precious time that could be used for something other than repetitive ping-pong between Pi' stubbornness and Mork's obsessive confessions. All the new rounds of this "match" of questionable plot value bring nothing new to the story.
Also, the "shipping" crew seriously creeps me out. WTF guys, do I need to foresee a restraining order for you on the horizon?
Yes, I know, it makes no sense. Beats me, why they did that.

I fail to see how your post corresponds to mine?

The last convo between Tian acting cheeky and Pupha acting like he finally has the feels for Tian kills me for all the good reasons.
This series is gonna go down in history as the royalty of BL.
