People who are just here to hate on Esther, no one is holding you at a gun point to watch this drama nor even engage with any drama series or post about Esther. I don't understand why you would watch someone you don't like nor is catering to you. Let others who actually enjoys watching her work in peace. If you need attention go look elsewhere.
Previously before the release of Speed and Love, a rumor about Scriptwriter & Co-director/creative director: Zhao Xiao Lei having dispute with Esther Yu due to creative difference were spread around making Esther Yu to look like a diva on set is now proven false. With Zhao Xiao Lei saying in an interview:
"I was especially happy watching Yu Shuxin play Jiang Mu."
"She can evoke all my emotions."
"I think it was a great success. This actress is incredibly talented; her emotional delivery is so powerful." "And the chemistry between the two, I think, mainly comes from Xin Xin. When she can capture all your emotions, it's easy for her to create a romantic connection with the male lead, and their pairing is very convincing."
I'm so late to this for no reason I keep getting spoiled by social media 😭. But anyways, just finished episode 16, and damn that was a rollercoaster. I was kicking my feet, smiling from ear to ear, giggling and then all of a sudden, my girl 😭 legit my smile faded so quickly. Anyways Merry Christmas to you guys out there!
Blessed this drama for being released during my break 🙇🏻♀️😭. I just finished episode 15, it was the longest episode 🤭 lmao, I have been gasping for air, hitting the air, if I died from this, I can happily peace out. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥. It's winter here but I needed the AC lmao 🤣
I miss and need Cheng Yi to do romance, like actual passionate, maybe angst, and loving romance. Like immortal samsara and love and redemption. Please God someone write a good freaking romance script and let Cheng Yi + his agency read it and make him do it!
I want to give it a review but honestly all I could say is PERFECTION✨. This drama gave me hope that chinese writers can actually f*cking write. The pacing 10/10, character developments 10/10, full use of its casts 100/10, choreography 8/10 but hand-to-hand combat are savage! World building 12/10. This drama is like eating a well-balanced meal and you take your time enjoying every bite of it.
I have tried watching this over and over again only because it was something I was looking forward to watching it but just as when I had given up, the hype around it makes me wanna try again, but I just can't. I agree with what you said, both actors has their own merit in their own acting abilities. But I guess for me, it is the premise of fake affection that thrown me off, and usually their is a gradualness as the story develops as in fake lovers to real lovers, and yet I don't see that. The world of where the story takes place seems to also be so condensed and the villains are honestly boring. I would have to say the script lacks cohesion and proper depth that it needed because i'm not being pulled in the narrative that they are trying to tell.
Everyone has different taste. You don't have to force yourself and try other things. In my case I didn't think…
It was just one of my highest anticipated drama, guess that's why I'm feeling disappointed. but will try it again once all episodes are released, maybe.
