Ok but he is so sexy in Cheat On Me If You Can wtf?! I can't believe he had played a high schooler in his last (Extraordinary You) and completely passed under my sexy radar. Impossible.
For whatever reasons I mostly can never finish any Korean historical dramas, there are only a few that I really…
I am with you there. Sageuks really bore me and I am the least bit interested in them. I think the only ones I have enjoyed are 100 Days My Prince and Mr. Sunshine. Chinese historicals however! *_* I cannot get enough of them! Politics had never been a genre I was fond of and definitely don't watch anything if it's longer than the kdrama 16 eps. But if it's a chinese historical? Baby I am ALL in! 40 eps? 50 eps? 60? 70? Doesn't matter. And all this even if it doesn't have fantasy.
Ayyyyy, I got you.It just got on my nerves that they prattled on about her gradual mental growth into an adult,…
Uh huh. And jeez, cheesy quotes. They have become a disease in kdramas recently. Everyone's suddenly become fixated on hammering heavy-handed life philosophy lessons into everyone's brains. The answer? Long scenery shots, vintage effects, cold weather that requires turtlenecks and sweaters, and the cheesiest lines they could find from novels and poems. The actual story? Nobody cares. *headdesk* Pass. I know I went off on a tangent here but you hit a sore spot haha.
OMG finally someone who saw 30b17 for the nonsense that it was. I agree with everything you said about it. Shin Hye Sun's portrayal of the character was off despite her being a phenomenal actress otherwise (most popularly evidenced in Angel's Last Mission even though I ended up dropping it as well cause SHS was really the only good thing in it). She didn't feel like an 18 year old at all, just a weepy, weak mess. I was also fed up by the show's taste for fake-out endings. Have never liked shows that relied on that. Man, I felt a bit weird not liking it when everyone was balling their eyes out over it. Glad to have a companion ROFL.
Another unpopular opinion - while I did like Goblin despite it getting a bit draggy, the famous secondary couple bored me to death.
What a coincidence for this would be posted right as I was about to start The Legends. I am starting this mainly cause of Xu Kai (who looked hot AF in Arsenal Military Academy) and cause I love love love fantasy historicals. I have heard really polarizing reviews of it however so aaaaa I am nervous >.< Wish me luck!
I don't want to be that girl who repeats one thing over and over but.....if Deng Lun's gonna be in another xianxia then please please please dear heavens make Yang Mi the FL.
While I agree with each and every one, I want to give a special shoutout to the childhood trope. YES YES YES AND A THOUSAND MORE YESES. Kdramas, please. Just stop.
Haha looks like someone is an EXO-L! And a k-variety lover to boot! Thank you for this article! K-variety shows don't get nearly as much love as they should. After a bit of adjustment period, one can just never turn away from them again.
