Looking for excuses? I beg to differ: she said something to the effect of that she always tries to do better and feels that there is room for growth. She does not look for excuses! Her words demonstrate a mature approach to the acting profession and self-criticism is a sign of strengh, as it shows her inside into what good acting should look like. Just a reminder that by the time I write this comment she has been honored with 12 awards, 8 of them for acting. Recently she did an offline modern drama, performed as the main lead 22 times in 8 cities with almost always sold out theaters, so around 1500 to 2000 patrons per play. It’s her own voice in LY7T: she dubbs herself … and I think that hearing an actor’s own voice always helps to increase the overall emotional impact. In ‘The ideal City’, actors (Yang Chaoyue included) are not dubbed at all (in the Chinese version). Which voice one finds appealing is a question of personal preference and everyone is entitled to her/his opinion. I myself find that the voice of Yang Chaoyue matches her beautiful appearance and love listening to it.
No date yet when King of Comedy will be streamed, but it passed review and got its government issued broadcasting license right at the end of August (2025). The movie ‘the nameless of great significance’ or cool fish 3 or with a similar name debuts in cinemas December 31st. We have no details about the release of a ‘secret movie’ , filmed with the cast of KOC, titled, if I remember it right, ‘10 suicide squads’.

Fighting (without magic),fighting (with godly magic), malicious character intrigue, transformations to animals, demons, body switches, war fighting, bandits fighting, murder, mystery, plenty of comedy, lots of dying but getting back to be gods and fairies, flogging, plenty of drinking (tea, wine [high alcoholic] laughter and tears, and a never dying love thread, so yes, there is.

You earn your acting skills honors not by playing the smooth lovable hero lady love bug cuty pie, but by playing the unusual, annoying, unpredictable or unlikable one, or just a fool that has to earn its place among heroes, and thats perfectly done by ycy.
I’m so happy that Miss Yang Chaoyue, in trying to find humble lodging, and some little income to sustain herself, stumbled into show biss. From working as a seamstress at age around 17 to be voted most influential chinese artist at age 20, her development is just wonderful, a real live cinderella story, with the modern caveat of no need of a ‘prince’. She doesn't mind if people look down on her for lack of school or college education and coming from a rural community. She got used to obvious online abuse by haters, who may be motivated by seeing in her a threat to their beloved idols due to her natural acting capabilities. To this end, facts talk for themself: 12 awards, of which 8 for acting, the rest for her motivational influence and looks. I summed it up below in a comment from about two months ago. And to top it all, she honed her acting skills by acting as lead in a contemporary drama production with 22 performances in often sold out theaters, touring 8 cities! Everyone can find inspiration in all of this.
