Idk why but in my mind, I thought it would be the best but it turned out to be very average
Perception is personal, not absolute. Btw. : on IQIYI, LY7T is number 18 costume drama of all times currently, number 5 in 2023, and in both cases two places ahead of ‘Love Between Fairy and Devil’.
5 episodes in of watching, aren’t you? Just a hint: FL is supposed to be a bit annoying in the beginning, I felt the same, not due to acting, but her role will change into different characters brilliantly rendered further on.
I agree..YCY is so pretty but her acting made me sigh...it was more noticeable being next to Ding Yuxi whoese…
Watch ‘Born to Run’. Also, how many (idol) actresses go to perform in a theatre production? YCY as ICY in ‘Hello Madman’. Voted best MODERN drama (offline) in 2024 with lead YCY, 22 performances in I think 8 cities averaging above 1500 seats per performance, and several including the last three performances in Beijing being sold out! I’m definitely impressed, how about you guys?
I did on youtube, bit funny with sound at times, then on IQIYI with a subscription, or on Amazon prime, but that’s quite expensive too, in the end best quality you get from buying the BLURAY version, which is also cheaper than a subscription. There are some sellers on ebay. I got LU7T this way, as well as Heroes (2022), the wonderful tearjerking Chongzi, Born to Run, and there was a good quality HD DVD version of Dance of the Phoenix, but no BLURAY FOR THIS ONE. I did not find a version with subtitles of Midsummer is full of love.
Surprisingly good first few episodes. The only thing is I'm finding the FL's character a bit annoying. I wish…
The FL’s character is supposed to be annoying and bird like and irresponsible in the beginning (her dress gives that away, if you have sharp eyes) but her character develops into something much more useful later in the story. I think YCY perfectly delivers on her role. One should not scold the actor for the character played.
Everyone is entitled to his opinion. I watched it explicitly for YCY, the brilliant and charming fl who brings out all aspects of comedy and drama alike, where the personalities of her characters she plays in ly7t are quite different to her own ways: that’s acting I appreciate (I avoid terms the likes of good or bad acting because I’m not in the trade, hope this gives a good example).
I’m re-re-re-re watching. First time I found it so different to other dramas that I put it aside, but restarted, got hooked, and now it is my favorite drama to go to.
