When life's been lifing and you been all too busy, and you coincidentally find a drama with oppa in the main lead and you make that high pitch shriek of joy so your cat jumps up in the air and gives you the stink eye ๐
anyone know any drama like this and when the weather is fine, without mystery and murders and violence,, just…
I came here right after watching The Potato Lab - so would definitely recommend that one. It takes place in similar settings, a cozy village with a bunch of cute people.
To me, FL seemed very realistic in her introverted nature and her inability to defend herself. Her character seems…
I agree. While I did find her character a bit too passive and naive, almost to an aggravating degree, I did find her struggles relatable and realistic. To be honest, I feel like this is one of the very few Korean dramas to really address the burnout culture in SK on an individual level. I get that that gives the drama an overall darker vibe but I think to some people (myself included) that can be cathartic.
Frankly, some of the comments on here completely whack. I loved it and never wanted it to end. This is a slice of life, down to earth, silly, funny, sweet, no bullshit, don't-look-for-a-grander-purpose type of drama, with just the right amount of dumb drama cliches we all like to see. Acting on point, chemistry on point, support characters on point, eye candy on point, cute after-the-credits-roll type of short clips after each ep, check, check and check. What more were you looking for in a rom com?
I saw people commenting that the last episode was really cringe-worthy because of a bed scene and assumed they were just prude lol turns out they were right, not per se due to the bed scene but that whole final episode was just... let's just say I had it on 2x speed. I don't think the last half of the drama was bad, I actually got hooked after ep. 5 when things got more makjangy. It started good, the premise, the characters, all very compelling, but few episodes in and I was ready to drop it, it was a bit all over the place genre-wise, weird pacing and a narrative that keeps shifting, characters lowering their own IQs etc. Still, a nice watch overall.
It's funny how they already gave us small hints in the first few episodes (i.e. demeanour, regard/disregard for others) of the psychopathic tendencies that run in the Baek family, starting from that psycho mother. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. No wonder such narcissistic, calculated, self-serving, callous, two individuals could give rise to such a deranged child. The interesting thing is the nurture VS. nature aspect of it all. Would he have been able to lead a normal life, if he had gotten the nurture he needed? Maybe somewhat. Could he have gone against his nature? Probably not.
Lol he's the unlikable one and not his gf?? lol sure......
Yup, for sure. His gf is not unlikeable one bit. In fact, she's too good for him. Was totally off-putting the way he got jealous over her actually doing well in life, her actually accomplishing something. And how his little man ego got hurt over her wanting to help him out.
Crazy to see so many of you getting triggered by props, special makeup and fat suits. If I didn't look it up I wouldn't even have known. That's how GOOD it was executed. If anything, I was thrilled to see plus-size representation in a kdrama for once. Fat suit or not, Bok Dong Hee delivered sass, attitude, fashion and style. She was perfect from start to finishโonly, it took her much longer to come to that realization herself.

...And I'm just at ep. 6
Also, the moment I realized it was Kim Jae Wook playing the older brother I was like ASDFGHJKLL ๐๐๐๐๐
Fair enough
