I've read the first four books like ages ago, and the similarities to the show are around 1% lmao You are right, although sometimes I'm glad about it, if a series is super good, but it comes the point, when it just has to end. TVD or Pretty Little Liars, I loved both, but at some point I just stopped watching it, bc I lost interest. Not with GoT though, I preferred them to have two more seasons and a decent ending, instead of season 8. Ig it always depends on the story in the end. You need membership to watch it 😅 people with membership are 1ep ahead, so when ep 9 is available for everyone on Saturday, with membership you can watch ep10 then. Yes, he unsheathed the sword, in the novel as well, that was how he revealed himself to the world. About the thing with the golden core - I was wondering about the same. Not 100% but to be honest, if it would have been made by westerners ... uh boy, they would have changed it beyond recognition! Just thinking about adaptations like After, City of Bones and TVD ...... No thanks But for the donghua, there are some precious scenes, that couldn't have been put into the drama, and otherwise. ... The final scene of ep 33 could have never been made into the LA like this, it wasn't in novel as well, so I guess, donghua team just wanted to give us something to scream about lmao

No, no ice cream :( I guess the idea of the yin iron came from the amulet or rather from the sword itself. The sword from the caves absorbs yin energy and was later transformed into the tiger seal by Wei WuXian. In the LA the just turned it a lil so that the material the sword was made from, is the yin iron and of that there are now five pieces.
