Honestly, the main reason I stopped watching Royal Betrothal for now is because Ying Gua barely gets any screen time. I kept fast-forwarding just to see when he was going to appear, which I’ve never done for a Zheyuan drama before! 😔😭 FS better not pull this same s**t and butcher his scenes to uplift other characters. Like you, I'm also worried about the direction of the drama right now. Zheyuan’s leaked clips look fantastic, but you just never know how editing and post-production will turn out in the end.

P.S. I’m planning to binge-watch RB once it finishes airing instead. Given how brief his scenes are, I really hope his character arc still gets a satisfying, well-written development. 🙏

I completely agree. Casting the second male lead as Ao Chi and giving Zi Miao to a rising actor would have completely prevented this mess. I really don't know how the C-Ent industry works, but I think this is not the first time an SML's role gets beefed up at the expense of the ML. It's frustrating, to say the least.
